I think it's done!

And OH MY GOD you have NO idea how happy I am that it is! I made this piece twice! TWICE! The old tablet died right as it was almost done previously, and I had to start over again from the flat colors! Okay, maybe that's like, 1.7 times, but still, the longest and most tedious parts (detailing and background), I had to do in their entirety twice.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I LOVE this piece, especially because Gex and Spyro are my two favorite video game lizards! This is a piece I've always wanted to do, that's been sitting in the back of my mind for a long time, and it turned out better than I thought it would! In fact, it may even be my best work yet! But holy CRAP am I happy that it's done. No matter how much you love a piece or what it includes, when you've been been working on it as long as I have, you're bound to get tired and eager to move on to other things. ^^;

And that's the other reason I'm so happy, because I can FINALLY move onto other projects! Much of the last two months has been redoing and recovering artwork lost on the old tablet, and while there is still more to be done, this was the biggest salvage job. This one and Baron have been pretty substantial projects for me, and doing them back-to-back has been a bit of a strain, so I'm going to shift gears after this one and focus on some smaller-in-scope pieces that won't take as long as those.

Oh yeah, talk about the artwork! Well, again, I can't say a WHOLE lot about it on Patreon, but I managed to get all the intended alts AND a bonus WS version! The WS version was very impromptu, a real last-minute decision that I was hesitant to do at because I am TERRIBLE at fluid dynamics, but I think it turned out okay! I hope it did, at least...

As for the text, in case you're wondering about the base pic, Gex had two games out by the time Spyro's first one was released. Sometimes I enjoy the idea of characters being like, "actors" who played parts in their respective media rather than their respective worlds. I tried to keep it as succinct as possible, but it still ended up pretty wordy. Once again, my brain was kinda fried by the end after thinking about this piece for so long. I did have a couple pop culture references for Gex to use so I could incorporate that aspect of his character, but I felt like most people who see this probably haven't played Gex (they may not have even been alive during his time; the last Gex game came out 23 years ago.) and such dated references would be unknown and awkward-sounding to those people. Also, they'd probably require Gex to use some kind of a voice, which you can't exactly hear on a picture. Geez, Gex, you're such a dork.

Well, time for the full monty! You can find all 8 versions in this archive! Combinations are:• Base• Phimosis• WS*• Cheesy*• Text/no text versions of each* Indicates they're in the dirty folder

And they can all be found here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1SwZFLb1e5bVthuqjgQfP6pnj3WYStJuC?usp=sharing

I proofread it multiple times, but I'm still me, so let me know if there are any spelling or grammar errors! Enjoy!
