This is all about teaching your body to respond before your conscious mind has a chance to catch up. Instead of trying to convince you of that all at once, I’m going to take you there one step at a time. First you’ll settle in and relax, focus on my voice and let your body soften. Then I gradually introduce the idea that automatic body responses are already happening, sometimes before you even notice them.

As the session progresses, I'll tell you to do a series of increasingly obvious responses. Before you know it you'll be raising your hands just because I told you to, feeling your arm float on its own, watching it drop instantly on command, and eventually figuring out that even something as simple as nodding your head can happen automatically. Each of these builds on the last, so every response becomes another piece of evidence that your body is happily following along even if you have no more thoughts in your silly mind.

By the time we reach the end, you’ve moved beyond proving the concept and now I’m reinforcing it. Instead of introducing new tasks, I strengthen your automatic responsiveness so it feels natural and effortless, and ready to happen the next time you hear my voice. Finally, I’ll bring you back to full wakefulness while leaving that sense of automatic body obedience in place.
