Hello there! It is I, Marcelo.

Have you missed our Kickstarter stuff?

Feast your eyes upon the second Playtest Material for the Book of Legends! This not little at all 50-page document has everything you need to run your very own CR 30+ battle, and test our new and improved LEGENDARY POINT SYSTEM!

For those who don't know, we have decided to create a reimagined 20th-level combat system for both 5e and 5.5. This means we'll go through a bunch of playtest phases in the coming months as the book takes shape. This particular document is not yet tuned to 5.5e, but it will, eventually!

Now, this is where you come in. As part of our Patreon community, you'll get access to every playtest we develop. If you can get a group together to run this scenario, then you'll become part of the design process! You can send us a review whenever you like!

Please browse through this amazing PDF and tell us what you think! Inside, you'll find:

Legendary Point System: Reimagined mechanics for Legendary Actions, Resistances, and unique abilities! Yes, we changed some stuff since the last Playtest

A fully realized encounter against Grand Alchemist Paracelsion our CR 30+ foe

Four classes: Bard, Figther, Ranger, and Rogue, up to 25th level!

A level 21 character build for each class, so you can jump right into the game

A reworked Grand Alchemist Paracelsion statblock, making it more intuitive and fun to run!

One new 10th-level spell!

A battlemap of the Inner Laboratory to fight in!

And, a special treat: a 1-minute track by RPG music maker to accompany Paracelsion's introduction!

We hope you enjoy this Playtest! We'll have a final Playtest document in December (a CR 30+++ battle) and aim to send out the Kickstarter in January!

Cheers and Happy Threadseeking!

Well well. Music. Amazing. Love the new stats, not a big fan of innate spell casting but I like what you did with The Grand Alchemist. If this is only kind of canon then can you make a Tales of Eos thing about this? it would be really cool. And is the CR 30+++ monster gonna be the Hermit, Hjal'Sha or Theseus?

Really cool! Real quick though, in every class you have the line, “Legendary Points: Starting at 20th level, you gain Legendary Points. Your level determines the number of points you have, as shown in the Legendary Points column of the Legendary (Class) table. You can use your action on your turn to recover all expended Legendary Points. You can spend these points to fuel various features.” And, unless I’m completely blind, there is not a legendary points column on any of the legendary class tables. Seems a little important?

Small quibble but the t and the h in fighter are backwards.
