THE BOOK OF LEGENDS: ALPHA VERSION DROPPING SOON
A timeline for the next steps is out, and with it, the date for the first Alpha version of the book!We have some exciting news for you! After about two months of hard work and racking our brains, the Alpha version of Ariadne's Book of Legends is almost ready. We're looking to get the content in shape first, then make it pretty later!
We've constructed a short-term timeline to accompany this drop of content! We now have dates for the end of Late Pledges (June 7th), the Backer Survey (June 14th), and therefore, the famous Producer content Survey (June 14th).
We wanted to thank you all for being so patient with this! We know not having specific dates for a while has been stressful, and we thank you for your continued support. As you know, we're very picky about the content we release, and this was no exception. This project wouldn't exist without you, so we want to deliver the best product we can, even when it comes to drafts. That's why we take our time getting things done!
Thank you! ❤︎
THE COURT OF THE AFTERLIFE: A FIRST LOOK
Last week, we announced the upcoming release of The Court of the Afterlife. Now, we have a release date: May 20th! In less than a week, you'll be able to get your hands on this incredible remake.
Accompanying the announcement was a call for help: let us know which cover design you prefer. And, as you can tell by the finished cover here... We have a winner!
You chose Option 2, and our incredible graphic designer, Gabo, made it a reality!
The cover depicts Stormwalker Geld in the foreground, with Aftelife Dealer Silverhorn Jack behind, holding his famous Box of Souls.
If you know the plot, don't spoil it for a friend. In case you don't know much about it, let us give you a bit of context...
"Mortal afterlife is not an intrinsic characteristic of the Universe. Originally, departed souls would simply linger in the ethereal dimension, the enormous spiritual frequency that overlays the universe. Over the course of centuries, souls would slowly accumulate, meld, and grow. The entire Afterlife system is a construction of Gyreon, the God of Order, who understood the dangers of the excessive accumulation of spirits.
Because an event of such dangerous proportions could not be allowed to occur, it was decreed that all mortals would have an afterlife. Every God and their planar vassals took part in building the Court of the Afterlife, right in the middle of the ethereal. Even now, it absorbs every soul that enters the dimension, and through a complex process, judges and sends each of them to their appropriate eternal afterlife."
NEW LORE IS ON THE WAY!
Your input last week was incredibly helpful, so we want to ask for a favor once more...The Universe of Strings is the setting in which all of our stories unfold, but how many of you truly know the characters? Their stories, personalities, and thoughts are sometimes lost to the adventure. It is to be expected, but we truly love these characters, and we want them to shine!
In September 2024, we posted the first-ever Tales of Eos: A Dragon's Lament. The story explored two previously unknown characters, Elizabeth, Wielder of Moonlight, and Garnathor, Wielder of Twilight. You can find their story here!
Just like Elizabeth and Garnathor, the Threadmaster Trio (Ariadne, Fallow, and Runo) have their own Tales (check them out here!).
Now, we need your help. We want to continue expanding our universe with more Tales of Eos and new and revamped character pages on our website. Below, you'll find a short survey to let us know which character you want a story about! Your answers are fundamental to the construction of this ongoing lore project of ours!
As always, thank you so much for your help and support. They mean the world to us ❤︎Cheers and Happy Threadseeking!- Alvar, Gabo, Jen, Marce, and LinThe team of Ariadne's Codex of Strings
