Patreon Updates!

Hello dear Patreons! This part of the newsletter is for you only, since we will be talking about some changes to Patreon. It will be short, so I'll make a quick summary:

Patreon Shop is no more! It was bloating our page, and to be honest, it was a bit of a pain to set up from our side. So, we decided to make it disappear. If you can make a one-time purchase of any of our books, you can always visit our website, where you'll find all the books we publish here.

New free posts and previews! As you might have seen, free members will start getting some cool previews of our releases. They will most likely be statblocks, but also items, mechanics, and maybe even NPCs.

Art Showcases are back! We love our artists and the incredible works they produce, so we wanted to bring back Art Showcases like the one we did for The Ichorous Peninsula a while ago. Expect one per release with the favorite pieces from the Codex Team.

Some Pantry Spoilers…

As we announced in last month’s newsletter, the next Patreon release will be a new version of Pantry of the Multiverse, one of our bestselling books from the past! The document will be released in two parts, much like its forefather, to give us time to develop it as best we can—and give you time to playtest and catch any typos in the first part!

We already showed you some of the incredible illustrations for the many dishes in Pantry of the Multiverse. Now, it is time to show you the smallest of spoilers from the bestiary! The Master Cuisinier is a CR11 culinary expert who will put your cookbook to the test. Be careful eating anything the Master Cuisinier serves you. Hope you haven’t annoyed it, and if you have… well, hope you can detect toxins!

Expect the book to be finger-lickin’ good!

New Alpha version out, and another one coming soon!

Alpha testing for Ariadne’s Book of Legends is drawing to a close!

Last time, we dropped some pretty big changes to the Character section of the book. Now, we've expanded the Foes chapter a bunch!! There are six new battles for you to test out in this Alpha, adding about 80 pages to the document. Yeah, this is pretty much the whole book already... and we're still missing another batch of foes!

Fight Fallen King Oedipus in the darkness of the Pit, discover the plots of the Moonsilver Jester, face the Plate of Argencia in honorable combat, prove yourself against Archnephilim Barbatos, avoid the deadly mindscape of the Reaper of Ancients, and attempt to defeat the Princess of the End Times, Hjal'Sha herself!

You'll find we also added Difficulty Scaling options to all foes, past and present! It will help you adjust the challenge of any of our fights, scaling up or down depending on your particular table!

As the title of this section suggests, another version of the Alpha is coming soon, and it might be the last one! Expect to see more Mythical Techniques, 10th-level spells, Heroic Paths, and more soon. All the Foes that are missing from this update will be included in version 1.4, and there might be other character surprises you will want to see as well. So be on the lookout for that!

The Material Plane refers to the world from which the cosmic tree blossoms. Which region would you like to see explored?
