Hau'oli Overview & F@FF 2 Changes (Patreon)

Hello all! This post will go over the upcoming Hau'oli v0.1 release as well as changes that are coming to A Fortnight at Frenni Fazclaire's 2.

To start, Hau'oli v0.1 is looking like it'll drop sometime in September. The main premise is that you have been isekai'd to a new world (The Lavafalls alt-canon universe, same as Hell in the Sheets) and into the body of a cat. You are found and taken in by Sialia, a Spotted Hyena, who's also Taylor's adopted little sister. It's an entirely SFW experience with a small amount of ecchi/suggestiveness while confronting themes like burnout, depression, and bigotry.

The plan is for v0.1 of Hau'oli to be an entirely self-contained, shorter experience. However, if enough of you like v0.1 and want to see more of it, the ending of v0.1 will be left open enough to permit future updates. That's why feedback and your support both here on Patreon and on Itch will be crucial metrics to judge by!

Next, let's address F@FF 2. In the NFW 2025 Community Survey that was linked on Discord, an overwhelming amount of people provided great feedback as to how they were liking F@FF 2's premise and characters. The overall summary from the survey is that the writing of F@FF 2 is currently missing the mark on several key issues, character development, scenes, and overall game play compared to F@FF 1. These issues will be addressed and fixed, but it will take time to rebuild the story/game from Night 2 onward.

My current prediction for F@FF 2's v0.3 patch is now Q4 2025/Q1 2026. I know this may not be acceptable to some of you (especially because it means invalidating and changing large portions of the current v0.2 patch), but I'm committed to providing a good experience that also meets my own standards. But don't worry - I refuse to let the project fall into endless dev-hell where we're constantly revising and changing things. One way or another, F@FF 2 will come out.
