Hello all! Time for the usual monthly update. Some of this information has already been covered in Discord, which you really should be in if you're not already.

First things first, let's talk about Lavafalls University. As you can see in the .GIF attached to this post, Croseneu is really honing in on the Live2D animation for the project. We're hoping that the extra effort and detail helps draw in new fans, while also giving current fans a metric by which our quality levels are ever-increasing. Still no concrete date on the v0.1 release, but I can at least say that the plan is to release v0.1 as a demo, which then links to a Steam wishlist page for whenever the full version is ready. This is a risky play on our part, but again one we hope will pay off.

Speaking of risky plays, I thought I'd talk about the Community Survey that went out last month. 127 people replied, in which we learned some important things. Most every Patron is happy with their benefits, and those that aren't able to be a Patron are primarily constrained by their wallets. To me, that's a good spot to be in. Support us if you can do so safely, not because you want to use your wallet to force game changes (like many, many other devs do with their pages).

Overall, people would like longer length stories except for the F@FF line, which is constrained by the natural timeframe of the line's title. People are feral about Taylor in Hell in the Sheets, and the customization of the main character really helped people feel included and seen. Most people get updates from Discord and Itch, with Patreon here being a close third.

The most requested kind of new content is voice acting and minigames. The latter we're trying with Drakengine and HitS, and based on feedback to those we'll adjust/add future projects to include such. The voice acting is another beast entirely. Right now, Patreon levels have plateaued. We're getting enough support to pay artists and personal bills, but we don't have it in the budget to spring the thousands of dollars it takes to get proper voice acting done. The same issue is constraining our translation efforts. We have dedicated translators offering to assist us, but we can't currently afford their rates for our games. Fan Translators, as I've mentioned before, have been consistently inconsistent save a very small few. They aren't an option for most titles.

Back to fun stuff - Many people also want more animations and H-Scenes. Lavafalls is addressing the former, and across all active titles we're aiming to include plenty of smut scenes to keep you all happy. A vast majority of you are okay with development times being what they are, which is great! In the time it's taken some other devs to put out barely one update, we've released more than 4 full length (50k+ word) visual novels. The team and I take pride in that fact.

Oh, and one person tried to rickroll us in the survey comments. Next time, use a different YouTube link ;)

Moving to other projects - HitS is still creeping along in terms of progress due to previous issues I've raised about properly capturing Taylor's whimsy. Drakengine is currently in the balance testing phase to ensure the mechanics are solid once all the art is done. Other than that, February is likely to be a very slow month for us.

Thank you all for the support! Stay safe out there!
