Other leakers are starting to say similar things about Battlefield 6 to what MLID has reported in the past: It is indeed a soft reboot with a lot of resources behind it. In fact, it is being directly compared in significance to how Battlefield 3 revitalized the franchise's popularity.

This got me and Dan thinking...what do you all want in a "next gen" shooter? We discuss based on your submitted Reader Mail!

How much graphics is obsession because of strong incentives in both pc and console world for studios, it is kindof like you order paper magazine in old days and still it has plenty of pages filled with (full page) ads. Graphics has been important since dawn of consoles and pc's but I wonder if that strong "shadow" of both amd and nvidia behind game devs and execs escalates that? (I mean focus, pressure)... ~@45:00-> Old days, it was manufacturers primary battle in every way for hearts and minds. Now game development has in modern terms multiple revenue streams, that is sometimes selling gazillion games isnt even priority 1 target coz game can offer tech demoish good PR boost for hardware manufacturer.

So glad yall are Resistance fans, probably is the most underappreciated shooter of all time in my opinion. I'd do almost anything for another game, doubt it'll ever happen though.
