The first volley was away, and numerous Silver Spears now thrashed helplessly in the water as cold steel protruded from still-hot bodies. Riley's own spear had lodged itself deep in the belly of a short haired brunette, and the result was a glory to the E.E.L frogwoman. But she couldn't savour her first kill for long.

Beside her one of her own comrades could barely sputter out a scream as an enemy spear slid into her unprotected belly with all the finesse of a seasoned diver entering the water. Riley couldn't entire hear her scream, but she could feel it. A light vibration hitting her waterlogged ears as the regulator fell from the dying girl's mouth and instead a stream of bubbles poured from between her twitching lips.

If the Silver Spears could save their sisters, they surely would have. But Riley could only appreciate that this bitch had been bragging about how many Spears she was going to turn into chum. And now she was thrashing, helpless, pierced, eliminated. Chummed.

Riley's senses prickled at the sight. And even as she let her eyes linger, she saw the girl's body bend back, a hand cradling that spear as though it had so quickly become her lover. And love her it did, holding her close even as the frogwoman's hips bucked and the water grew cloudy...
