Gooball: The Game (Patreon)
Content
I was asked some questions about Gooball. Seemed pertinent to share the information here too.
Arena - The Gooball Arena is roughly circular with a central Gooball dispenser and numerous goal locations on the outer circumference that open at random. The floor is soft sand, the walls smooth concrete, and the audience sit in an elevated ring of seating outside of the arena.
Teams - There are six players per team. The referee is outside of the arena to keep them safe from play. All players are in the arena, there are no reserves or substitutions.
Uniforms - Gooball official regulations is that uniforms should be stretchy, form-fitting and not extend beyond the base of the neck, the elbows, or the knees. Usually this means teams wear lycra shorts and tee-shirts, or wrestling singlets.
Pred/Prey - While there is no restriction on the size of Gooball players, all players must be willing to be predator and prey to ensure a fair game.
Scoring - 1 point is awarded when you get a Gooball in a goal. 1 point is awarded when you eat or Gooball an opponent. 2 points are awarded when you eat or Gooball an opposing team's Team Captain. 1 point is lost when your player is Gooballed by a Gooball they are holding.
Match Length - 45 minutes, with discretion. The referee may use their discretion to allow an extra 15 minutes in certain circumstances. This is usually used if the action is particularly good and/or one good goal would win the match for one team.
Foulplay - Gooball is a soft-vore contact sport, as such violence is not tolerate. In the event of a player being deliberately badly injured, the game is paused. The injured player is allowed to leave the arena, while the player that injured them has to hold a Gooball until it activates. Once the offending player is consumed, his team loses a point, and play resumes. If a player deliberately eats a Gooball, play is ended and they are taken to the Research Department, their team forfeits the match. If a player accidentally eats a Gooball, play is paused and they are taken to the Research Department. If a player forces another player to eat a Gooball, play is ended and the offending player's team forfeits the match. The offending player is also made to eat the biggest Gooball available and isn't taken to the Research Department, instead being left in the arena for the full experience. This latter rule has only been enforced once, nobody has wanted to experience it since.
