i think the coffins are to do with it being absolute darkness during the day when they sleep??? cant remember if they actually elude to that in the show or if i’ve made that up and decided it’s true

The most important thing to keep in mind when watching this show is that everything is being told thru Louis's POV here from far in the future. "Memory is a monster" is what Daniel says, and it's very relevant for the entirety of this show!

Ngl to you Freddie, I’m a really squeamish person, so I can only watch these very occasionally when I feel like I can stomach it, the bingeability of this show is night and day from the devil judge for me, let’s just say that - although that is interesting with the whole literal day and night with vampires and the whole day and night of the morality with it, not to mention with the devil judge, the day and night activity Yohan was up to and all the moral quandaries in that show, PLUS the banger song from the OST ‘you say I live in the moonlight / you say I live in the sunlight’ and how haunting that song was, I think what I’m learning here is that I’m a sucker (pun not intended), for literal day and night themes as a mirror or a foil or a continuation of moral day and night themes, or the meta commentary of is it actually day and night or is it more twilight (pun intended), is it more grey, OR, actually IS it sometimes that easy and there IS a distinct day and night? Who’s to say
