I also cheered when Aguni arrived - his aim was the same as the gangs and I didn't mind if he died - it's a win for me. The rest of this ep broke me, waiting a week feels especially torturous this time </3

I think the core difference between Aguni and Niragi is their belief’s and motivation. Aguni was feeling lost and intentionally set out to hurt others as a reflection of his pain whereas Niragi chose to hurt people for his own enjoyment. Aguni is a beloved character, his care for Heiya and his complex relationship with Hatter gives him a lot of depth, so you’d be in the minority if you weren’t happy to see him I believe.

i can not wait to see you be so emotionally destroyed yet again

The way I went through each episode wondering how half of them are still alive, it's facinating. Also, I must applaud the actor who plays Niragi; the fact I can't even stand looking at him when he's on screen here, but his character in a different drama is my favorite person ever and I can't look at him without smiling there. He plays this character so well

To quote the King of Spades, "I'm sorry." 🤭 It’s a painful yet hopeful and necessary watch.. You're correct in Aguni showing the KoS mercy in his final moments. They're both military veterans so there was a mutual understanding of going down honorably during battle. Similar to how Aguni hallucinates the best friend who he shot out of mercy, the KoS was seeing a fellow soldier who he had to mercy kill, and they both never truly forgave themselves for it despite it being the right thing to do to end their suffering. It seems that could be why the KoS chose that kind of game, as well, as a means to save everyone from the misery of being trapped in these games. But i also feel like that final scene of Aguni shooting the downed KoS was yet another way to juxtapose him against Niragi who in a similar situation at the top of the episode decided to let a man begging for mercy to continue suffering. These bookends of wrong vs right is further proof that it's okay to yippee for Aguni, because humans will react to traumas of their own decisions differently, but there's always a choice.

YESS so true I love this perspective I didn't even realise the parallels of the two scenes bc the end of the episode was so traumatic but you're so right

The other drama is Good Morning Call; he plays Daichi who is the second love interest and you know that means, the character was written to be the most perfect angel that makes you wonder why he's not chosen in the end
