Can't believe we made it this far! My theory was focused on the title - ok so they're in the border between things, what could those things be? I thought it was like you had to prove yourself in order to [something??? a next level? a better place? idk~] I liked what they chose to do with it - as a fellow Inception fan I too would have really enjoyed the ambiguity of the end if this had been the series finale. No idea what season 3 is going to be bring (are they.. CHOOSING to go back!? which would imply that they remember?!) but excited to continue watching with you!

I personally only watched 2 episodes of alice in borderland season 3 because i was satisfied with this ending and didn’t enjoy the idea of watching a non canon season but i’m sure it’s pretty good !! maybe i’ll watch it by myself one day but honestly these 2 seasons were such a masterpiece i’m scared it will ruin it for me. i think i’ll probably still watch your reactions because i love them !! i’m so happy you watched this INCREDIBLE show 😭 i miss it

I loved all your theories. Mine was similar to yours- being a casino game, squid games, type thing😂In terms of season 3… well I enjoyed it, but I don’t really think of it as canon tbh. Like it was definitely not necessary, felt a bit like fan service to the viewers

i watched season 3 and even tho i think i would be satisfied with this being the ending i didnt mind the extended story it was still a fun watch and seeing arisu and usagi in the future felt like checking in on my friends after not speaking to them for years (we waited 3 years for the third season if i remember correctly). i deffinetly think you should still watch it and myb treat it as special episodes rather than continuation of the og

as a season 3 truther, i enjoy it as i’ve already said but i do understand people’s satisfaction with this ending because it’s truly excellent. like the clue was in the name the entire time, alice was really in the borderland. my theory watching this for the first time was that this would end on a very “alice in wonderland” end, like arisu has met people before that have shaped his life and he’s fell into some kind of rabbit hole (pun intended) and now he’s envisioning them as these players and then upon escaping, we find out that they’re people he knows in the real world, leaving us questioning whether or not it was all a dream or not. which somewhat tied in with the actual ending. it was all over my fyp so sadly though, some spoilers filtered through! this is truly one of my shows of all time so thank you for reacting to it so far🙂‍↕️

I was really satisfied with the ending of S2 when it originally aired and was very sceptical about what S3 would be but I ended up loving it almost as much as the other 2 seasons esp certain things (no spoilers though). The original manga also had a little one-off sequel called AIB: retry which I think they got some very basic loose ideas from (but not much lol). All in all, I found S3 very intresting

In short. I watched aib as it was coming out. Must say I came out with what it was about pretty quickly, maybe couse I was raised in Christian family, so purgatory was obvious for me. We didn’t know than there will be season 3. My theory with joker card was, that our life, real life in real world is the hardest game. And I liked that idea. And than trailer for season 3 came out and I was disspointed, couse for what. It ended perfectly. Without spoilers, I hated season 3. You know when you love something so much, and than last ep is leaving you with bad taste in your mouth. That’s what 3rd season did to me. Destroyed 2 season perfection just to get more money. So I rewatch 2 season pretty often, and forget about the 3rd.

Omg you made it! As someone who often experiences (terrifying) sleep paralysis and very vivid dreams, i've always been obsessed with our brains and their dream state. The fact that we often experience dreams being much longer than they actually are due to rapid brain activity making seconds or minutes feel like hours. Pair that with studies showing that our brains experience a surge of gamma waves associated with dreaming and memory, sometimes for up to an hour, after our hearts stop beating, imo shows that there could be a borderland of our own making after life. However, I would very much hope it's nothing like this story. Also, the 3rd series is very loosely based on the manga Haro Aso wrote as a sequel to Alice in Borderland, called Alice in Borderland: Retry. It's been pretty divisive, but personally I felt like it was a good add-on to the story. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't waited years for it to come out. I'll be curious what you think!
