I think that final scene was so clearly not actually filmed on a bike (probably just on the back of a truck) and so helmets weren't really needed and the shot worked much better without them

somehow saint didn't piss me off that much on first watch but watching vicariously thru you has opened my eyes truly SAINT USE YOUR BRAIN!!!!!!! i do love how the reveal that shin was never mad about his leg but rather mad that saint left him isn't some huge monumental thing, it's just like... really sad :((

I was rooting for the short haired twin (played by AJ) since he was the first one to be like "stop the violence!" when Shin was getting beat up by Jeng's gang, then he followed up with improved grades a few eps later, then he called Shin to back up Saint for Ken's bike situation. I actually rooted for his redemption so hard my first watch, I ended up permanently differentiating AJ and JJ lmaoo

Eve and Airy actually having a healthy sapphic conversation with a whimsical bgm and then the camera pans to Saint and Shin's gay yearning, shitty communication skills, and whatever the fuck they have going on lmaooo

It's Chadjen just hanging out with the teachers the whole episode, for me!

nani and shin are so extremely different it just shows how much of a good actor nani is

jas

like nani is so..... for lack of better word, babygirl. shin is too but like damn the difference

The bike scene totally read as a coded confession/acknowledgement of feelings to me, so I'm going with option one! Generally try to avoid comparing, but I will say I think the original series did a sliiiiiightly better job overall with articulating the Saint character's POV - I'd say he's (Namsoon) a little more self-aware, and also a little more space is given to exploring why exactly he made the choices he did. And I don't remember it bothering me the first time round, but yeah, the chairs collapsing did entirely derail that fight/convo and that was most definitely not a logical resolution to their conflict, no matter how adorable it was!

I do wonder if the network gets in trouble for not having them wear them unless there's a crash, maybe not when this aired as i don't think the law was that strict but definitely now, i noticed it a lot in burnout syndrome that Gun was always wearing a helmet on the bikes (which would not happen in real life lol)

The whole thing properly resolved in this episode..that last one, I knew they would have problems coz Shin was kinda fored to reconcile with Saint and they never talked abt the root problems between them and the actual reason Shin was upset with Saint...in this episode they talked it out properly and thus them reconciling was proper one.

Lot of people say they like to think that saint and shin realise their feelings aare me than that of friendship when they go to college and are together in college.
