So, I didn't realise I was watching with the english dub closed captions until after I recorded this episode. Netflix is the bane of my life. They shouldn't be too different but it'll be updated to the right ones for next episode!

the man the mom tried to see at the start was pio's teacher that threw the papers at him last episode, not the grandpa! the point you made still stands though lmao that school infirmary scene................................. idk how i survived watching that tbh. and the smiling!!! they're smiling so much!!! they're having such a good time together!!!! (and yes jeongyo's blond friend was in weak hero class 2, he was one of baekjin's lieutenants.)

Jo

Yeah, we said BL without kissing and it is exactly that. No implications whatsoever, it's all obvious on the screen. This episode still makes me grin from ear to ear every time. All their little dates, healing Jeongyo's stage fright, while also bringing back Pio's love and joy for music... They're so in love, your Honour!!!

Ren So

I am still trying to find a straight explaination for the candle lit room because apparently this is a "bromance" according to the production...... like they really tried to make it all gay without saying the word 😭😭

Yes Song Kang is soooo beautiful and gorgeous that’s why he is very famous in Korea. I can’t take my eyes off him literally

2026-10-27 06:00 there's just something so gutting about the fact that day they played together as kids was the worst day of his life, yet jeongyo still remembers their encounter as this beautiful, comforting memory. but even more terrible is the fact that it was probably the worst day of pio's life too, precisely BECAUSE they met. for jeongyo, that was the one good thing about that day, but for pio, meeting jeongyo = second place = disappointed his mother = not good enough. it's so poetic, the way that conflict has been embedded in their relationship since the very start. but but but! in true star-crossed lovers fashion, it's also about free will, and the way pio tries SO hard to NOT be the bitter, jealous rival - we see it in the very first ep, when he intervenes in the bullying under the guise of getting his stuff, and then again in this ep, first with the sheet music, then with the video footage, then with the totally heterosexual candlelit therapy session. he has everything to gain from jeongyo flunking out (the teacher can't penalise him for the duet falling through if jeongyo owns up to being the reason it won't work), but instead he helps him out again and again and again because despite himself, despite growing up in this cold, labyrinthine house totally absent of affection, at heart he's just a sweet boy with a lot of love to give.
