what would you have chosen? (Patreon)

In the last chapter, I didn't really think that we could do a poll because Ben pretty much had decided what he wanted, and I couldn't contradict that, so we couldn't do a poll this time. So he has already chosen the skills he has, but I was curious what you guys would have chosen in his place. How would you have gone about it? We're not doing a poll this time because it's not a decision, but I would love to hear your thoughts.

I definitely would have taken adaptive regeneration as well. As for the mana manipulation upgrade, for me either compression or control. Control leans even harder into Ben’s already strong mana manipulation skill/talent while compression has a lot of potential to made constructs more resilient and even the potential deal with having to much mana in the body by compressing is to a more manageable level while making the mana itself more potent. At least thats what mu guess of what compression does,

I would've figured bringing up the, uh, 'special same-name' thingy, which had affected focus, would've made sense for mana manipulation, but the statement on adaptive regeneration makes missing it a risk, so no point bringing it up there, and, frankly, I do suspect that mana compression would be the best option here, in the end - I'd just want to verify that better.

I think his choices were the clear standouts. Particularly mana compression. That is going to be absolutely critical to ensuring he doesn't pop like a balloon as his mana capacity outpaces the sturdiness of his body.
