Hey patrons. Just wanted to do an End of 2024 update on where myself and some projects are at.

First off, there’s a new $9 tier, where you can get access to the mini-prints (as well as desktops, sketches, early comic updates, and process images) without having to also buy the stickers. It seemed like there was some interest in that, so I made it an option. There's just a couple days left to grab my 24 page physical artbook with that.

With that out of the way:

In 2024 I finished all of my work for the mecha TTRPG Aether Nexus, did the cover for the novel Hit the Ground Running, re-launched The Sword Interval in its comic format, made the short comic Non-Sum, and launched the collaborative webcomic Sever & Pierce with my good friend Natasha. I also did lots of smaller commission pieces, and discovered my interest in trash sculptures - a great way to do something abstract and tactile between digital illustration work.

I’m still rebuilding my finances, my confidence, and my living situation after losing everything in a 2020 wildfire, but 2024 has been the most stable (financially and emotionally) year since then by far.

As for the future:

I’m hoping I can focus on more personal projects in 2025. I have so many ideas that feel worth fleshing out. In order to make that a reality I’ll try growing this Patreon, rather than supplementing my income with quite as much client-work (doing digital illustrations for clients drains the same batteries I could be using to make more comics and maybe ttrpgs). Ideally, that means sharing more in-progress projects with you all.

So yeah, thanks a ton for the support. I could not be working on and sharing this much personal artwork if not for you guys.

Here hoping next year you can continue The Beekeeper's Tale. I was so excited for that story, I hope it isn't gone forever. 💜 Happy Holidays Ben!
