Patreon's Changes (Patreon)
Content
Hey everyone.
Patreon just announced changes to how they process pledges. Before, supporters pledged a certain amount and the creators paid the processing fee. Now the burden of that processing fee has been passed on to you, the supporters.
In theory this means more money actually goes to the artist you want to support, but in my opinion it's an extra financial burden that is unfair to ask of you, and one I was happy to pay on my end as the cost of doing business. I do not support the changes Patreon has made.
If Patreon provided the option to keep things the way they were, I'd take it. They do not.
I am sure some of you are happy to pay a little extra if it means more of your money goes to me. For that I am extremely grateful.
I am sure some of you can not or do not want to pay this extra fee, and maybe have to make some tough choices of who to stop supporting. Those of you who wish to no longer support my Patreon, I want you to know that I totally understand.
I will continue updating this Patreon as normal. For those interested in other ways they can lend their support to my work, here are a few.-I have a Big Cartel where I sell my books and some other products.-You can follow me on Twitter and Tumblr for updates.-Creating a Line Webtoon account, subscribing to The Sword Interval, and giving it likes and good ratings helps a ton.-And as always, the best way for an artist's work to reach new people is word of mouth.
Thanks everyone. Hope you have a good one.PS: If you do stop supporting me due to this, please say so in your exit survey. It will help to show Patreon how unpopular this change is.
