I'm not saying it makes sense, but maybe there's some (twisted) logic behind EX-junkies (emphasis on the "ex") being leery of vaccines. Could it be that they're now paranoid about injecting ANYTHING?

You're forgetting the third type of person: one who has a healthy view of politicians and govn't (those that do not worship at the cult of personality and remain critical of those that hold govt positions), and those who also know when to trust those with far greater knowledge than they possess on their own (like scientists).
