Grace Harpold

Oh how sad! I guess it was bound to happen though!

Dustin B

Arsonist at it again.

Jenna

That sucks always enjoyed your videos there such beautiful architecture… what a waste 😟

Allison

I JUST watched all your videos about this place. Like last night and this morning. This is so sad. Like when the children’s asylum burned.

Kathryn Frampton

That's just awful. I hope it doesn't spread if it's not out out yet. Dan were you ever in there?

Catherine .𖥔 ݁ ˖

I hold the city responsible for not doing something with this mansion. Both angry and sad about this. I wanted to visit sometime while the weather wasn't too cold.

Billy Drysdale

What a bummer. I guess it was bound to end this way. So glad you were able to document it Dan.

Zelda

Wow, that's such a shame. If it is arson, don't people have anything better to do??

Joe powell

What an f ing shame! Another beautiful piece of history lost😢. Honestly people suck.

A2Wx8

It felt almost inevitable, but still such a shame to lose it.

Kathryn Coffey

Oh geez. Just gets better and better, doesn’t it

Nicky Ginn

Sad. Just had a feeling this is how it would end. 🥺🙁😔

Kathryn Frampton

I THOUGHT I saw it before. Just looked it up and I did . Didn't recognize the name right away. (Forgive me, it just started light flurries where I am. I think I'm in shock).

Weird Polar Bear

God dammit. Yet another historical site destroyed by negligence. Good job baltimore.

XineMarieMcD

I knew it would end this way. Sad news.

Dan Norman

Damn. I was actually hoping to go to Baltimore and see that place for myself. I'm only a few hours from there. Guess I missed out on the chance. So sad to see it go.

Ryan Poggioli

I unfortunately saw this sad outcome for Uplands a mile away, especially since the Gundry Asylum suffered the same fate back in 2021:( We do such a piss poor job of preserving historical buildings in this country! Most are either unceremoniously bulldozed or left in a derelict state until the arsonist’s torch reduces them to ashes. No doubt the cookie-cutter development that likely will be built on the sight of the mansion will be bereft of any of the architectural qualities that made Mary Frick Garret Jacob’s summer home so appealing. What a damn shame!!!

Grace Harpold

I hope Dan heads over & makes a video of what’s left of the building! hint hint ! Lol

Brandon Pesha

Of course it did! Another piece of evidence on how the city is doing.

Drew's Adventures

So sad 😞 and pity it was never restored or at least safeguarded

Ashley

Damn, that’s disappointing.. one of my favorite places you’ve documented, your footage was amazing

Maria

So very sad this keeps happening when these buildings should be preserved! It's a good thing Dan got some awesome footage of this place so it's not lost forever!

Lesley Quesadaaaaaa

Sad. Thank goodness you have documented this building for everyone – you are becoming a Baltimore historian.

Tracy Zielinska

I’m glad you got in there to document this amazing home before it was destroyed, really it was only a matter of time before someone would torch this once beautiful house. I’m actually watching your video of your visit back a few years ago.

Eric Thornton

Sad this was classic Dan Bell territory. A legendary site like the childrens asylum and the meat packing plant.🙄🤦‍♂️
