Hey guys,Just a short post. (I know, I'm on a roll). I've been experimenting a bit with AI animations. The biggest issue I see in other games, was that it either changed the style, or that the movement was so fluid that it felt like it didn't belong in the game. The other big issue was that those animations weren't looping properly, which breaks immersion. I've been trying to solve those issues myself, trying a lot of different workflows and experimenting with it (I spent so much time on this, I kinda regret it). This is a final result I'm quite happy with, it loops perfectly and the movement feels like it belongs in the game and it doesn't change the style. (There's still minor artifacts, however I'm not sure they're THAT noticeable.) Obviously, I only want to add things that improve the quality and experience of the game, if it doesn't achieve that, I won't add it.I wouldn't use these a lot and definitely not in scenes that require complex animation such as the NSFW scenes. However in certain cases, like close-ups, I feel like it could increase the quality of the game. What do you guys think?

In a year ai animations will be so seamless and streamlined

Wow 😍 Beautiful ❤️‍🔥

I seen others to use si for animation ,, its realy very bad ,,, i followe just beacuse your art is very realistic ,, but if you going to use AI for your art ,, its the worst thing that can happen

AbyssGames

I mean, you can look at the example in the poll. I think that looks pretty good?

Alumtec Opu

yeah it's looking not bad at all ,, But the face struckcher has changed a little bit ,

LonelyJinx

damn that looks good

perVpro

Damn dude! Excellent work! It would be nice to see these in small scenes as well. Such as bending over, skirt in the wind, groping, etc.

ezuma

Looks great to me

It turned out great! Your art in this game is some of the best I've seen compared to other games! The issue with some artifacts doesn't detract from the final result! Keep up the good work! One question: How many chapters are planned for the game? Do you have any idea yet, Dev?

First of all: that image looks dope as hell! I'm not a big fan of too many animations, as I feel it takes away from the non-animated images. But I do feel like it can add to the quality of the game if used tactically. There's certain scenario's where I feel animations could be a big plus. For example when a character is being revealed. Luke comes home and his door is open. He goes in and it's dark but he sees a silhoutto. He turns on the lights and boom... animated Kate. Or he's at a party and his attention is pulled to a volumptious behind wiggling. She turns around and boom... animation of Sofie shaking her hips. (Idk if anyone ever played Shadow of Mordor, but this pops to my mind bc everytime a boss-orc shows up you get a close up animation, introducing the character. I'm trying to describe that concept) Another reason for animations could be a highlight. For example in a nsfw scene, they do their thing and then boom... an animation of the climax. Or Luke and Lilly go on a date and have an emotional talk. They go for a walk with the sun setting in the back and boom... animation of them kissing, hair flowing in the wind. Like that it could be a nice way to end a scene before going to the next.

AbyssGames

Hard to say, probably between 16-20 if I have to guess.

AbyssGames

Yeah, I wouldn't use them much, because again, there's limitations to this at the moment. But again, once in a while, it can provide something nice, granted that it meets all the requirements I mentioned above.

I re-read what you wrote and what I wrote and I realise I added absolutely nothing 😅 My only excuse is that it's late on a friday night… But yeah, I agree whit what you said

boogienights21

This is fine. If you think the time is worth it, even better: I imagine you'll only get better and faster at tweaking the generation process, and who knows what other ideas that might lead to.

Is beautiful

Man oh man, I know she has other “ assets “ that make her amazing but those eyes are to die for❤️😍

Cardus

Looks good.... BUT dont make it a priority... deliver it as u finish them without hurting dates!

Book

Looks pretty damn nice! Seeing a couple of those sprinkled in here and there for some simpler stuff could spice it up

JS

Looks fantastic, you did a great job. Captured her pretty well with this small thing

OsirisHeir._

I could definitely see this in small moments like the one posted here in-game. (Kate face card 😆). I also agree that for more complex animations, I wouldn't use it right now —still weirded out by its fluidity, personally. However, it still looks great.

Just looking onto your discord channel. Yes, on the way forward there will be a mix of self created and AI created animations rule the novels

Wicks99

As counter intuitive as it may seem, I've found that in most cases it's actually better in terms of consistency to render at a lower fps (e.g. 15 fps) then interpolate it with AI rather than directly try to cramp it to a higher fps. I think AI struggles when there is no start and end reference, resulting in a style slowly deviating from the original first frame the more frames it pushes forward. E.g. a 5 second clip cramped to 30 fps AI would have leaped to 150 frames compared to a 15 fps of 75 frames. The further the number of frames it goes from the first, the higher the risk of inconsistency happening.

AI excellently draws scenes without erotic content — this greatly simplifies both the time and cost of creating simple animations. However, when it comes to nudity, high-quality AIs usually refuse to generate that kind of material. That’s why ordinary, non-explicit scenes can be animated in just about five minutes.

I'm thinking of developing Ren'py games using AI. What AI do you use to generate the scenes and how do you animate them?

Phantom Renegade

Hi, if this animations are not in the Sex scenes and take you much time is better to focus in the story, in the end the grace of animations in a porn game is in animated the porn scenes. Thanks again for the hard work, i wish you the best.
