Haven’t even watched yet but the husband/wife part got me too happy ! So happy for yall !

Darrell Henry

The author who wrote the books was adopted and didn’t meet his birth father until he was 58. After he met him he started looking into his family tree and discovered that he was related to a man named Uhtred the Bold. That inspired him to tell the story of how England was formed. Great reaction to a great show.

I went to Bamburgh Castle in aug this year for my birthday. They have had a Last Kingdom exhibit for the last 2 years. It is about a 3 to 4 hour drive from my home. It was a great day and i took lots of photos. Hope you can get there one day it is amazing.

the other son is Gisela's last son when she died in childbirth and was only a baby so uhtred never met him and didnt try to find him for some reason lol

Right to the very end Uhtred is torn between the Saxons and the Danes. At the end, was the light hanging over Uhtred's head, which looked like a crown to me, meant to symbolize he was one of the kings??? I have wondered ... Great reactions all along guys! Thank you. Congratulations on your marriage!! Cheers to many happy years to come!

Congratulations on your marriage guys!

most of the events in the show did happen in life and some characters were real but Uhtred wasn't sadly

No, Uhtred hid him from his uncle. And U met him when Hilde was holding him as a newborn.

Not entirely true; Uhtred was real, technically. As Uhtred in the books by Bernard Cornwell is based on the real Uhtred the Bold who ruled Northumbria about 100 years after the events that the show is based around. So yeah technically he is real in a sense. Bamburgh is an amazing castle, it's truly stunning and the rich history that surrounds it. It's the most visited castle in the UK, and often tops the no. 1 spot for most visited. (sorry about a reply to your comment made 2 years ago, i've only been here little over a week. Had to binge watch the reactions. I watch all reactors for the show. Seen it from start to finish 14 times now. LOVE IT!)
