Edward was biting through the placenta because the blade wasn’t strong enough to penetrate it. And vampires can’t have children, Bella is just a special case, she’s also human. Once she becomes a vampire, she can’t have children.

Subscriber from YT! Idk if it’s been mentioned but I think Bella got pregnant because as we know vampires are cold as ice and dead so they shouldn’t be able to procreate. So on their honeymoon night the warmth from Bella’s “bella” lol warmed up Edward’s friend and I think therefore she was able to get pregnant from that. It’s not common in their world for a vampire to be with a human because humans shouldn’t even know they exist
