By the way before we all get confused again, the Ethelflæd mentioned in this episode is NOT the Æthelflæd from The Last Kingdom as; 1. She isnt even born yet 2. She is Alfreds daughter, and this new Æthelflæd is Alfred's brother, Aethelred's, future wife. Which is going to be confusing for you as The Last Kingdom Æthelflæd also married an Aethelred (the annoying Lord of Mercia who we couldnt stand). So to clarify. This 'Ethelflaed ' is marrying Alfred's brother Aethelred. The Æthelflæd we know from The Last Kingdom is Alfreds daughter who marries a different Aethelred (remember Æthelflæd, Aethelred etc were common names)

Back in season 4 when you guys thought Ivar was crazy enough, and I thought to myself "yeah, they haven't seen crazy Ivar yet". This is where he goes absolute bonkers. Get ready lol

I will say Alex Hogh Andersen (Ivar) is a phenomenal actor. U couldn't be more underrated for how good he is. What crazy, during the filming of season 4 & 5, Alex Hogh Andersen was only 21 & 22 years old

No problem, It does get confusing with the same names being repeated. Also, Aethelred (Alfred's Brother in this show and TLK) was King in the beginning of The Last Kingdom and father of Aethelwold, who wanted Alfred to succeed him, not Aethelwold (the annoying one who thought he was the rightful king)

Ragnar btw raped Aslaug conceiving Ivar, drowned Jidu and his sons saw it, left Ivar for dead with the wolves!!!!!!, killed the messenger who told about the farming settlement. The good person angle is a stretch nobody is a good person lol, Ivar is just pure evil
