for context about spinoffs: originals begin with season 5 of vampire diaries and they go together until they both end. Legacies timeline is after both shows end

You guys definitely should watch The Originals, I’d recommend watching it in tandem with season 5 of Vampire diaries to have the best experience and correct timeline of events💯, ofc there are Vampire Diaries cameos but it’s up to you guys. ( The Originals is the better show )
