Welcome back to the Merry Old Land of Oz!

This one is more accurate to the original Oz books where Oz is a real place. 1939's film is my favorite Oz movie, but Return is my favorite Oz adaptation.

NEw Bobsheaux? Must watch before takedown!

Wilson Bennett

Actually they explained the whole "why doesn't Toto talk" thing in the books, turns out he could but he's just the quiet type when it comes to actual speech vs barking

Mr. Haro

I never got the critical bashing this film got...

Timothy Bartlam

I love your "review from start to finish" style, Bobsheaux. Most other reviews are just "look at THIS weird scene, kids! Look how this is NOTHING like the other Oz! Weren't the 80's WEIRD?" I never knew there was a "non-Oz" part of this movie. Also, how did I never notice that was miss "Bad Egg" herself?

Sabrina Loizides-Merideth

I will always love Mia Sara from Legend. This is a wonderful and fitting end to my favorite time of the year.

Maybe the wheelers are like mr mime and they’re clothes are supposed to be part of they’re bodies

A death death here a a death death there that’s how we traumatize in the fucked up land of oz

This was definitely an interesting review. I've never seen this movie, and honestly, if i was a kid in the 80s, this movie would scare the ever loving shit out of me!!

Oh courageous Bob, who doth watcheth the worst kids movies in Creation, who dared to watch the great steaming pile known as "The Magic Riddle," have I got a piece of crap for you! Dare you watch the horror of "Once Upon A Time?" Not the television show, the hideous cartoon from the early 70s. To whet your appetite, the cartoon involves Cinderella, a drunk dad with his own still, and a pair of larcenous women. And a shoemaker clearly on some sort of substance. Watch at your own peril! https://youtu.be/_DJNzKgVH_8
