WOW!!! The only REAL educational value you can get from this is what NOT to do... Still don't understand how Viacom shut downed your trailer video on YouTube for this....

Elizabeth Stinebaugh

What the deuce?! You shot your brother?! Bob, is your family originally from Florida? Because that sounds like a Floridian story, lol! I hope Derek makes more of these atrocities just to open up conversations online. The concept of abuse being addressed by this gun safety video is mentioned by Derek and thankfully not actually shown further than that. . . as a survivor of DV, I can tell Derek that having a gun at all in a DV situation doesn't do anything positive! What a complete tool!

I don't often comment, but I just had to when you shared that story about how inadvertently sneaky you are. I've dealt with that my whole life. People are shocked to realize I'm in the room. As for actual comments on the video, the water bottle running gag was fantastic, and... tell me if this has happened to anyone else: I only JUST noticed that during the Cool Cat Boogie, it's supposed to be Cool Cat singing. It's just so obviously Savage singing that I assumed it was supposed to be Daddy Derek, didn't notice at all that clearly it was supposed to be Cool Cat on the mic.

I think so. I mean, he's got the microphone, his mouth is sorta-kinda moving in the way it does, that just went completely over my head for my many, many viewings of the song due it being so plainly Savage's voice.

Alexander Fix

My only training with gun handling and safety is what I learned from my time in the Boy Scouts and I'm still impressed at how much Darryl manages to screw up in just the clips you've shown us. I know for a fact that if he behaved like that on a gun range run by the any of the scoutmasters I learned from, he'd be thrown out on his butt within about a minute of stepping on range. No wonder most of the scenes with actual shooting are in the desert outside of his house, he's probably banned from most of the ranges in the city. Also, it might just be me, but Darryl comes off as really condescending. Not just in this, but in the Cool Cat "movies" as well. He acts like he thinks he knows better than the audience and spends the whole time talking down to them.

LOL if I had a beer gut like Daddy Derek, I would not be walking around in wifebeaters like he is...

Jack Sullivan

18:11 ah yes the swiper no swiping method of self defense

Jack Sullivan

Are we sure that daddy derek isn’t a breaking bad character

Jack Sullivan

Here’s a piece of gun safety advice that daddy Derek didn’t mention never point your gun at something you don’t intend to shoot

Ben Molulon

Great jokes in this one. That Tusken raider bit killed me. It was certainly more effective at killing than Savage with a knife.

DaisyGeekyTransGirl

Also, it's odd how Derek Savage is the one teaching women how to defend themselves considering that there have been many allegations and I think they're true looking at some of the tweets on that Cool Cat Twitter account of sexual harassment. Thanks for teaching me how to deal with the likes of you if you hit on me.

EternalHikairiNoTension

Derek Savage may have own guns, but he does not know how to use them smart and the right way. As a woman who grew up with guns I am not an expert in using one, but I learn the safety of dos and don'ts of them and right now Derek Savage is a complete moron in teaching the wrong ways of gun usage and safety for women just like he is a complete moron in giving good advice to kids.

Sarah Ann Roseberry

Am I the only one who notices that the woman who survived being raped looks very uncomfortable while talking to Derek(or Darryl or whatever)? Her lips are pursed, her eyes are looking away from Derek at times, and it overall just looks like she doesn't want to be here. Poor woman.

Alex Talberg

20:09 to be fair the only time someone would have to use the mace or tazer would be when it's dark out and bright colors(i.e pink) are easier to see

Jack Sullivan

Derek savage he’s like a Jeff foxworthy joke that came to life

Jack Sullivan

Stop staring at her chest you creep

Michael Burmy

The trailer is why I became a Patron once again...and your review did NOT disappoint. This only proves how crappy of a human being Darryl Evans truly is... S/N: I noticed how Raven's been hitting her stride, getting more and more confident ever since she started appearing in person (the very act of her doing so is proof)...in this one, she absolutely SHINES. I know you have played no small part in helping her strengthen her sense of self-worth...for that, I salute you.

Keenan Soundwave

He doesn't make me feel safe that is for sure. What a strange person.

SilverZeo

This "movie" bothers me immensely... First: How can someone like Daryl, a man who CONSTANTLY overcompensates for everything, manage to rope in so many people into this? He tries comes off tough and strong, but is clearly out of shape and uses weapons as means to appear impressive. He tries to build himself up as the "New Mr. Rogers"... but he most of actions come off as a half-assed-act he putting up for the cameras and clearly is in it for the fame and money than for need of others... Tries to act like an mature responsible adult but is comes off immature impulse jerk who, by how how his "planned' filming goes, doesn't think things trough well enough... and that's from his own work in general. He gets worse from stories from others who had the displeasure working for him, let alone talk to. So... how did he manage to get so far with this much people? ... aside from money of course.

"Condescending?" For a gun safety and self-defense video, he comes right of as a bratty kid trying to look cool than actually helping people. And that's him ON camera!

Jack Sullivan

Why is that Derek savage feels like he’s always one step away from becoming the human version of early cuyler

A.T. M

Hey daddy Derek might be prince Derek’s descendant

Jack Sullivan

34:42 no Derek doesn’t like his women heavy

Jack Sullivan

Why do i have a horrible feeling that Derek made this movie solely for the intent of hitting on traumatized women

Master Farr

I think he was shooting a picture of I hate everything

Master Farr

Dear Mr Savage, Are you a director or retarded?

Kent Huang

All I can say about the woman who called the gun her “husband,” the sex will always end in a BANG!

El Perro Spike

For Derek Savage's Neutral special he Wields a GUN.
