Oh god no! Whhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!! I never watched the original Thundercats or the reboot but even I’m insulted about how dumb and immature this show is.

Selene B

omg what a wonderful surprise!! you work so hard bob you need a break :3 I love thunder cats as a kid, lets see what this disaster holds

Curtis Rogahn

I watched the first remake because like Raven I grew up on the original (reruns on Toonami for me). It was AWESOME. But they had some really stupid ideas for the second season. Actually kinda makes me happy it was canceled after one. This one however, oh my God so horrible! So painful! The first few sentences with Jaga hurt me more than anything I've ever had experienced before. And what's worse is there are people who say I only hated Thundercats Roar because it was a remake!

BB Shockwave

Oh yesssss... I bet you will go all apeshit on this. This show, this is a kick in the face to every fan. I watched like 5 episodes and then decided I cannot bear it. Maybe Tigra got it the worst, they turned him into a worrying mother hen type, when that was the role Snarf played in the original (but new Snarf is... well, something weird). The main issue is this show could have been ANYTHING - it is only vaguely related to Thundercats, and none of the target audience kiddies will understand the references. They could have called this Calarts Beanface Show #546 and nobody would have cared. No, they needed to use the IP because they wanted views... and name recognition.

Victor Field

Listen closely you can hear Arthur Rankin Jr. and Jules Bass spinning in their graves.

Brendyn Robertson

I never saw this trash. I like the original as well as the 2011 reboot.

Ben Molulon

It was kinda awkward driving through Burbank (the city of my dreams) for the first time and seeing a massive billboard for this show painted on the side of one of the Warner Bros office buildings.

Daniel J

More like Thundercats Dumb!

Albastruna

As someone who hasn't watched the original or the 2011 reboot (but is highly aware of both), I gave this show a fair shot. I couldn't even sit through the pilot, I had to watch it in bursts, it was somehow overactive and boring at the same time; didn't even think that was possible. And there's some serious irony with TTG crossover sticking it to the haters only for it to be canceled shortly after.

RaisorBlade

I'm not sure if you guys know this ( I'm at work at the time of writing this so I can't watch the whole thing yet!) But the creator of this show literally admitted to hating the show as a kid and wished he could remake the show, just so he could ruin it... I guess dreams do come true after all!

No! Thundercats will always be awesome! We are kicking this garbage out of the canon and forgetting it exists!

Jack Sullivan

man teen titans go and thunder cats roar never have two shows been so similar horrible reboots of great tv shows severely downgraded animation unlikable bastardized main characters painfully unfunny jokes nonsensical fever dream plots and utter contempt for both the original and the fans both these shows earn a place in cartoon hell

Verdant Range

The one thing I wish you brought up was the controversy that was caused by the Teen Titans Roar ep caused by a background element. At one point at the end in a cave that takes a jab at fans of the 2011 show, you can see the skeleton of Panthro from the 80s show, which many thought was a joke making fun of how Panthro's voice actor died. This eventually lead to one of the creators of the show having to state the background guy just like to draw skeletons in the background and they meant no offence, but many people didn't buy it.

Unfortunately, I found out about that only JUST the other day when it was too late to make any kind of comment about it. And no... For all the crap you people are throwing at the fans, you CAN'T expect anyone to believe that no offense was meant. -_-

A.T. M

Another good video. On Halloween time maybe you'd like to take look at the show Martin Mystery. I grew up with it and I think you two might like it

BB Shockwave

Oh my, poor Raven. You thought you were gonna be watching the 2011 reboot. You have my sympathies... :(

WestPeak Entertainment

btw the 2011 reboot, helmed by Jelenic/Horvath. The wonderful duo who gave us TTG and luckily not Thundercats Roar.

Bobsheaux
>>64215037

Oh yes. That let-down at the beginning of the review was 100% REAL. She had no idea why I was going into this "Thundercats reboot" with such a sour attitude... because she thought we were gonna see the FIRST Thundercats reboot. lol Sorry, baby.

WestPeak Entertainment

What's even worse is Jules Bass (along with Michael Jelenic) were creative consultants on this series, and even they didn't like it. I deeply apologize to every person who was worked or seen of this series.

Raven Fox
>>64215037

Bobsheaux is right. We recreated my extreme disappointment for the review but that was 100 % authentic when he presented me with this garbage. Thank you for the sympathy. It's more than Rob gave me! 💔

Kent Huang

I blame Teen Titans Go! for this dumpster fire....

BB Shockwave
>>64215037

Ouch! That must have hurt... You better make it up to her in some way! Like watching a show she likes for your next episode. :)

BB Shockwave
>>64215037

You are welcome! And I am sure he will try and make it up to you in some way. But it certainly helped in getting your reaction right for this review. I could only endure about 5 episodes myself of this terrible show before giving up, but I did watch that TTG crossover too which somehow, was even worse... They even joked about the death of Panthro's voice actor.

BB Shockwave
>>64215457

Weird indeed, because the 2011 shows was awesome. I was surprised to find out they were on TTG too. Guess they realized if kids buy this dumb stuff too, why bother...

BB Shockwave
>>64210447

Agreed. But maybe dumb it together with Team Galaxy , they are so similar. I like to call them "French Anime", alongside with Totally Spies, it just has that weird hybrid style.

BB Shockwave
>>64204252

Yeah, I was surprised you did not mention that, guess you did not know he passed away. That was one joke that really went too far.

BB Shockwave
>>64200731

Apparently that went around for a while that his older brother watched this show a lot and never let him watch TV... but that turned out to be fake. I doubt this guy even watched the old show.

Albastruna
>>64200382

TTG is still going, Thundercats Roar is canceled, I found it hilarious that the crossover spent most of its run time grandstanding about being a worthy successor only for it to be canceled in the end.

EternalHikairiNoTension

Ironic the terrible Teen Titans Go show hates the "new" Thundercats Roar when they are a terrible show themselves from the awesome Teen Titans show. Also *squeeze fan girl scream* Shadie my god can you voice Lion-O more!!! ^,^

SilverZeo

I gave this show a fair shot... I just don't care for it. It might have worked better as a parody if they didn't made everyone crazy toony versions of themselves, or at least made them into shorter shorts... Of course, reviewing this... you might want to read the TC comic: The Return. If Thundercats Roar is bad for being too silly and wacky for fans like, than Return is "grim and gritty" take of the franchise... good content is about balance...

Raven Mcbain

I haven’t watched a single episode of the original and I am still truly offended by the assault on people’s childhood.

Raven Mcbain

What is it with all these reboots of shows and movies going for the overly goofy and dumb.

WestPeak Entertainment
>>64452756

Yes, But even that show has its fans young and old, the TTG ripoffs are so awful, they shouldn't even be counted in any canon. #RoarCanonNoMore

Fiona Stirling

that Idea you had for a series featuring parody cartoon characters from the 1980's doing shenanigans sounds fun and original, if only whoever makes these godawful reboots had that idea first.

Reeve Endres

I usually don’t enjoy it when shows end on a cliffhanger, but for this piece of shit, man I have never been so satisfied with an ending ever in my life.

Leon

I knew the reboot was bad, but my God, that is so fucking AWFUL! I'VE written better shit than that during writer's block than that. Geez. I'm glad that steaming pile of garbage got yeeted off TV. I'll stick with the original and the 2011 reboot.
