This movie is awesome and I'm glad you two liked it. And believe it or not, I never noticed that they never actually said what Kubo and his family where. I just assumed that his grandfather was Tsukuyomi (despite the credits listing his name as Raiden).

I remember seeing this movie at a animation summer camp and I was absolutely blown away by it. Nice to see you review it 👍

Love this movie. Surprised you didn't mention the gorgeous 2D end credits. Makes me happy Travis Knight was picked to direct Bumblebee and I look forward to his next Laika film, Wildwood.

This film is a masterpiece. Thanks Bob and Raven for giving it its due.

My brother got this movie a few years ago and we absolutely had to watch through all the behind the scenes content. Laika really pulls out all the stops with their artistry and I'm glad to see it put to use in a meaningful (and well researched) story.

Once I actually got to see the puppets up close at the Portland art museum, it was amazing seeing the giant skeleton in person as well as all the other Laika puppets.

I can't wait for you to do THE BOX TROLLS movie. It's the only stinker from Laika.

If you liked Kubo and the Two Strings you’re gonna love the first Laika movie Coraline
