Some studies I did on value and color.

Image 1, Photo study + my oc Finniard. Focus on accurately replicating the colors from the original reference. I tried not to zoom in much and instead only focus on roughly conveying the shapes.

Image 2, Portrait study. Focus on getting the skin color and face proportions right.

Image 3-5, Value + Color studies. Began with film stills and tried to only use 3 values to depict the composition, keeping in mind what the main subject is and whether it is notan (local color) or chiaroscuro (light & shadow) leaning. I then shifted over to photos I found on Pinterest, doing the same 3 value study and then also attempting a color study after, keeping in mind the values while choosing colors. I added notes after analyzing some things I noticed or could improve on.

The film stills I got from the website https://www.yeguozi.com/, I came across it on Twitter and they don't have a lot of movies yet but I think they're expanding it slowly so I'm definitely keeping an eye on it. 👍
