The first two chapters of Coven of Calahree are finally here!

As I get to work on Chapter 3, feel free to explore the town of Aemple with sisters Gabby, Ginny and (eventually) Griselda as they work to spread the word of their new mistress of magic, Calahree.

The first chapter is prologue, the second one is where the meatier bits take place. Attached are both the Windows and Mac versions of the game - if need be, I should be able to upload a Linux version as well.

Feel free to leave feedback and post issues that need fixing in the comments!

**EDIT: Well, the first issue would be that there aren't any files.

Patreon didn't like them, so it spit them out. Here's a Dropbox link!

I could be dumb but I don't think you attached the file to this >.>

BodyEx

Yeaaa i don't see the files 😬

bobothehobo

Sorry about that! The files should be attached now, albeit through dropbox. The first one is for Macs, the second for PCs!

bobothehobo

Sorry! They should be attached now through the link at the bottom of the post!

Miossec2019

I can't seem to be able to play the game on my Mac.

bobothehobo

Hrm. Well that's no good! Can you get it installed/downloaded? Also, make sure that you're downloading it from the one labeled Mac - I put two up there so that everyone could play, but it's no good if people from one camp can't get the thing up and running!

Miossec2019

I installed it, but when I click on "Game", I received a finder message just saying "Impossible to open the app "Game"."

bobothehobo

I'm researching the issue as we speak, and I'm sorry for the QoL issue. The best piece of advice that I've found so far is to run it directly from the .zip without installing it. If that doesn't work, PM me and I'll try to find a workaround for you!

Kestrel

I just downloaded it and found the same, tldr you need to use terminal to take ownership of it. In order to do that, open a terminal window and copy and paste the following without the quotation marks. (Note that there's a space at the end): "sudo chmod -R 755 " Then, click and drag the application into the terminal window to add the path to the file. Then press return. It'll ask you for your administrator password so enter that and press return. That'll fix the permission issue, but you'll then run into a second problem because it's an application from an unidentified developer. To get around that right click or control click on the application and select "open" which will trigger a dialogue asking if you want to open the file. Once you do all that, you should be able to just double click it from that point on.

Kestrel

All that being said, I can confirm it does work once you follow the above steps.

@Kestrel Thank you so much for the help on this one! I didn't know, when I deployed it, that Macs were so finicky. @Miossec2019 Hopefully that helped, but if it didn't, feel free to PM me and we'll work something out, okay? Here's hoping!

Unfortunately, I haven't made an android release yet - I'll have to get on that!
