So apparently I'm going to have to switch to a monthly subscription model some time between now and the end of next year, on account of Arple are demanding Patreon use their software and it doesn't allow for per-creation charging and that has to be my problem. They've given me until the end of 2025 to sort it out, so this just a heads-up. Start thinking about how much you're prepared to pay as a monthly lump sum.

The equivalent of maybe 3 or 4 pieces of content per month, a lump sum of what we’ve been doing so far.

I’d be more than happy to pay that Matthew. I’ve enjoyed your content for years and long may it continue. You could always give people the option to pay via other means on a one off basis? Would a paid YouTube be an option?

Byron Law

I would be more than happy to pay £5 or more.

Im fine with this and soo glad the TSW ident is back on Rewind tv soon with that's my dog 🙂

Do you have a Ko-Fi? Maybe drawing more attention to that for one-off donations may help.

It averages out to about 3, if we include the occasional longer essays and series', which we should.

A monthly sum would work for me, and I would probably be able to pay you more.

I'm already basically paying monthly, so that's definitely fine with me. Would there be a rebalancing of the tiers? Right now, assuming an average of 3 paid vids a month, it would be as following: Associate: £3 Executive: £15 Consulting: £30 UPOG: £60 G-Emperor: £120 I could be overestimating the mean number of vids of course, but I feel it's approx 3. (If this comment is inappropriate, please feel free to remove it. It just felt like a reasonable question to ask).

I'm doing £10 per month by using the runaround of setting maximum to 2 videos per month, a fixed amount is more comfortable for me. I could probably up it to 3 x £5 maximum because that's £18 in reality when the government gets its cut. So that would be £15 as a monthly option.

I would have kept my £5 tier except I had to down it when you were doing the book. I’d still pay the £5 tier for the videos because I absolutely love them.

As for the monthly payments, I presume this will be Patreon wide so the customer will adjust to it
