A slightly new format. Shock!

Christmas Wrapping will probably appear around Christmas Eve Eve (it usually does). Before that - wait and see.

Watching that Asda advert, I thought it might be for M&S until the name was revealed at the end. It reminded me of the Shirley Bassey 'Get The Party Started' ad from 2006, what with all those people travelling across an icescape to reach their Christmassy destination. Clearly I've been living in New Zealand for too long as I had no idea about Kevin the Carrott's previous form aside from all the Black Friday hoo-hah. The 'Holidays Are Coming' piss-take was excellent, though. I think I'd have to give my gold star to Sainsbury's this year. Very festive, very funny (particularly the kid dressed as The Queen inside a TV) and not-too-emotional. Tick VG.

A very good deconstruction of all things Christmas on TV, shame you missed off the singing Amazon boxes, as those ads are everywhere, or do they not count? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5pVlqOHZ8I I should be sick of it, but I'm biased towards it, as it was made in Vancouver, where I have family. Oh, and regard to Christmas Wrapping, stay tuned in case Kaleidoscope release any more lost TV idents like last year. ;) Please don't forget the 1967 Rediffusion one. ;)
