Mind you, something simple that pleased me was the BBC Northern Ireland logo being placed in the middle and bottom of the screen, below the tree. It works better than putting the logo in the bottom right somehow.

Sorry - one last thing. Why don't the BBC just launch an annual competition for ordinary people to make their own videos or films in order to create the BBC Christmas ident/bumper? Let's face it, they could plunder a much wider range of ideas from the public than their creative agency and pay the winner a small sum for the privilege of using their video.
