Welcome to the future of creating worlds! (Patreon)

Sometimes, you have to wait for the future to catch up with your vision. That's what I've been doing for almost a year, thus the silence. But I think you know that I don't post if I don't have anything to say.. The vision I have for both my projects could not be achieved with the tools available until now. Or, should I say, with the lack of a working pipeline between them. And it all revolved around creating worlds. The worlds my characters live in. DAZ is the best tool for the characters, Blender is the best modelling tool on the market. And I know both very Well. But.. There is a problem. With DAZ you can only get nice looking characters with minimal environment. And that's it. Not to mențin the rendering times... With Blender, you can somehow create assets, painfully usabale in DAZ... And that's it. Yes, you can achieve a little of both worlds. But not nearly eough. So, considering all the above, I got, a few months back, to the conclusion that with both of them, all I can achieve is... Well... Just the same as all the artists in this "prohibited" nieche can: good looking characters, with some limited environment, where you can find all the clasic excuses to make them jump on each other. And that is absolutelly NOT what I want. The "Bounded" project, or "Living next door to Alice" comic, as you know it, is a visual novel with complex storylines. For anyone who had the curiosity to read about the plot for the comic, it involves interstellar travel, futuristic landscales, massive alien world and so on. And, since its a visual novel, you can't just "tell" the readers through words where the characters are. You have to SHOW them. And that's where the limitations of both Blender and DAZ come in.I've always wanted to tell an epic story, to be able to show on screen everything, from the tyniest details to a massive 5 km wide city, so the reader would be immersed in the world. Think of the movie Dune, as an example, because, in a way, Jake has a similar character arc, in a future with endless possibilities, filled with exploration, self discovery, epic encounters and, of course, all the forbidden stuff that comes along with his passion for Alice. The future I've imagined for both of them had to be shown, not told through words. And not only that, but with as much realistic visual fidelity as it can. So now, I am proud to tell you that the future has cought up with my vision and I found the perfect working pipeline that can make my dream a reality. I can use both my experience in Blender and DAZ to the full potential and create my epic futuristic fantasy world. What you see on the screen are the first (almost) production ready renders, one with working morphs (even on clothing, to some extent) of Alice, with a backdrop of the city they live in and one example of her exploring a futuristic industrial world (she is the tiny black spot on the right part of the screen). And it's with just some basic lighting, no color grading, no post process, no tweaks. And it's all rendered at 4k, with 256 AA samples in under 40 seconds. How? Well... The future I was waiting for to catch up has a name, one that you will hear alot from now on in cinematography, gaming, archviz and so on. I won't spoil it just for fun, because I know it's not that hard to guess... I can only tel you that So, as I said, I don't want you to imagine, I want you to SEE. Welcome to the future.Hope you like what you see!Hope you will enjoy the ride in this amazing world and, as always, hope to please your eyes soon.Fireblade185PS. As for the next comic itteration, I won't give any release date. But I'll have weekly updates from now on, until everything is ready for an official announcement.
