Transparency (Patreon)

Hello! This is a status update on the final part of my story.

I guess I should start by saying I went about this process the wrong way. When I started posting the first few parts, I didn't have an ending in mind, or much of an outline. You may have noticed each part being far longer than the last, and that's a trend that will be continuing with part 5. It's already as long as part 4, and I'm only nearly halfway done. This project sort of gained a life of its own..!

I've never been much of a writer, so this is all pretty new to me. In doing this, though, I have learned a lot about the writing process, and know what to do to prevent this (the extreme delays) from happening again. The way I've been handling this by sort of toiling in the dark isn't appropriate, and I'll work on being more transparent in the future if I run into difficulty again.

I have an ending all thought out now, and am working on writing it. It's very unlikely that it'll come out this month, but when it does it'll be really good, I promise! It took a good while to come up with something satisfying and plan everything out. Next story, I'll have everything in mind beforehand, so this really shouldn't happen again.

I'm constantly apologizing on here, so I don't want to end my message with that, but it really feels appropriate. I try to be fairly professional on here because you're all my paying customers, so I do feel bad when I let you down like this. The monthly sequence is still coming, though, so look forward to that!
