Writing Smut (Patreon)

So, the story is late again. It'll be done this week, seriously, i promise this time, but it's not here right now when I said it would be. I've got about two scenes left to finish writing, and then I'm most of the way done with panels.

To be frank, writing smut for the first time is kicking my ass. It's really tricky to get right, and it's taking me far longer than I thought it would. There's some inherent perfectionism to be sure, that's part of why this has taken so long, but working to get this story the way I want it is taking a lot of effort.

I promise, I really swear, that when this comes out it'll be good. That's my vow to you. It will be worth the months of delays. I've learned a lot about doing this sort of thing and my process going forward will be far better. I really should've known that this would be hard, having never written real sex scenes outside of dialogue before- but I was a fool. It's very hard to make it not sound super robotic, or overly flowery, and handling these scenes wrong would pretty much destroy the entire work.

IT WILL GET DONE! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being so patient, and I'm sorry I keep getting in my own way. I know this isn't the news you wanted to hear, and I've continuously let you down for months now, but we're really almost at the finish line. we really are.
