OUR NEW ADVENTURE STARTS HERE.

Welcome to new members of the community, very happy to have you here. And for the army, the team, the tribe! I think you've nailed it with this suggestion

Michael

Your going to love this

Sam

Let's go! Much love man.

Sam

I mean in a way we are the offspring of survivors and warriors, the ones who lived. It's in our veins. Our ancestors have 100% killed others and it led to them surviving. So yeah it makes sense that we in a weird way admire warriors.

Cully Colantino

Season 1 in itself is the epitome of a perfect story. Start to finish.

stevetar

The new journey begins !

Nicolas Guevara

So glad ur watching this show. It’s so beautiful, the music and the visuals. Enjoy.

Leon

In my opinion, Season 1 drags a bit for me, I think it gets a little bit too silly in points and I kind of hit a point of like "okay c'mon please continue with the actual story". The first few episodes are great, the last few are great and there are definitely some good ones in the middle, but yeah that's my opinion. HOWEVER, Season 2 is fucking incredible, actually insanely amazing and I think you might feel similarly so just wanted to let you know to definitely be aware that it does all build for *something*

moti

lets gooo

Cillian Doherty

If you’re already into the show then get ready because it’s one hell of a journey…

hman70

Last time I tried to watch Vinland I bounced off around epsiode 4. I'll try to stick with it this time

Conix

Great start to the story and Yutaka Yamada is the composer of the music?! The man is an absolute legend. It's looking really promising.

John

Oh I’m jacked about this one!

Ethan Ross

This is a great show, very grounded and very introspective. Lots to analyze. If you're looking for another really great, plot-centric, not silly anime I would recommend the 90s Berserk series as one of the all time best. Only like 25 episodes too!

Aadi Ravichandran

it would be cool to see vinland saga + chainsaw man in the schedule, chainsaw man is pretty short anyways (12 episodes) so it would work out

Matthew Valentine

I watched this season 3 years ago when no one was really talking about it at the time so I kind of forgot about it but after checking out season 2 that aired last year I realized how much of a masterpiece it all was! So pumped to go through it again

Joab Taylor

Excited to rewatch through this after watching season 2 recently, can’t wait for my country’s intro🤑

Elijah Slocombe

hes acc going to love this show lmao, i acc think he might put it level with aot when its all said and done

Chainsaw man is a bit silly for the thing that he likes.

Aadi Ravichandran
>>129868373

deals with a lot more serious themes than jjk, plus i feel like he’d enjoy the visuals and the direction of the anime

Paper
>>129870333

I honestly don’t think so. It’s very good but AOT is genuinely more creative/directed etc. I honestly wouldn’t compare it because of potential let down

ryanemmerson

loving the animation already. saw it was WIT studio in the intro, fire. looked it up to make sure and apparently s2 is MAPPA. feels familiar ;)

Mike Donohue

Feel free to mention AOT in your reviews and reactions by the way, since its your only real experience with the medium. Anime has a lot of tropes and storytelling devices that are commonly used in most shows, and its interesting to see how each show executes them differently and using different styles

Jabin (Aelic)

Before this becomes a whole thing, his name is pronounced Lay-f Ericson.

PO

It might not be another AOT, but Vinland is extremely enjoyable

Aiscrim

I read the manga, this show is better than AOT

Elijah Slocombe
>>129868373

it really does not deal with more serious themes, i love chainsaw man so much but the mc literally spends the first half of season one going after boobs lmfao

Sammy

please watch steins gate or death note at some point that would be insane

Patrik Žauhar

You will see almost zero silliness in this show because its a seinen. Seinen mangas are targeted towards adults meaning they are a lot more darker and mature than other genres of manga.

PO
>>129889146

Thanks for pointing that out, AOT was very mature for being a Shonen. Although AOT is my favorite all time I prefer Seinen in general

Patrik Žauhar
>>129889146

AoT started out as a shonen but even in its early days i never thought it was one, but yeah as it went on it definitely became a full fledged seinen.

Patrik Žauhar

Anybody know some other good seinens?

James

I forgot how fucking incredible the music is in this show.

James
>>129894260

I recommned reading Berserk, Vagabond, Monster and also Tokyo Ghoul and also One Punch Man is technically seinen.

Petter Virtanen

Can't lie, I was a bit disappointed that you didn't choose Fullmetal Alchemist, but I haven't watched this show so it'll be fun watching it alongside you. Looking forward to it! Also, please watch fullmetal alchemist brotherhood after this one ;)

Eamonn

yeah this is what i'm here for

Jehlani
>>129894260

Erased is very good, only about 13 episodes too so you can binge it

Christian Golub
>>129894260

The big 3 obv (vinland, vagabond and berserk), the climber, 20th century boys and pretty much anything by the goat naoki urasawa

Kehmind

So happy about this choice!

Christian Golub
>>129885813

Facts, well actually not facts, both are fucking amazing and so close to each other..yet I prefer Vinland Saga

Christian Golub
>>129870333

I disagree, it is very possible for him to even enjoy it more than AOT, yet AOT was his first big genius thing to watch, it may depend on what you watch first

Christian Golub

You’re about the witness greatness, a story and message conveyed like never before

Christian Golub

I think the sheer realism of the characters, especially the antagonist, will make you love this story

Christian Golub
>>129868373

That’s why people need to start reading the manga. The first season is just the tip of the iceberg. Denji is just a 16 yo MC, very relatable and realistic character for that age, no save the world shit like in Naruto, he is not the chosen one, he is just a regular young boy in puberty, which makes his growth in the next arc (which will be covered in a movie) the better. Chainsaw Man is a one of a kind story, I can definitely tell you that

Christian Golub
>>129865020

If you won’t like it till half way, the show won’t be for you. But if you enjoy it, it could become the best story you ever witnessed

Christian Golub
>>129864479

The anime added some filler with thorfinn as a kid, yet it’s well done filler, it definitely slows down the pace. Luckily those are just 2-3 episodes, and then it’s about to get heavy

Christian Golub
>>129860258

Crazy thing is, it’s just a prologue, it even works as a stand alone story, but this genius set up for the next story arcs is incredible

Patrik Žauhar
>>129894260

I have seen the Tokyo Ghoul anime and only the first season was good, season 2 was meh and season 3 was absolutely trash. Might have to check out the manga then.

DW

Back 2 back fireeee anime choices. peakkkk

Jaeboleann

Are u gonna do another show alongside Vinland saga?

Patrik Žauhar
>>129919119

The antagonist in this season is one of the best written in all of anime, heads up for you Jon if you will see this comment.

Patrik Žauhar

While this anime has fiction there are also real life historic moments and characters. It's history in anime form so you can also learn some things from this show.

Elliott Tomkings

It's funny what you say about vikings not being cool, given what the message this show tries to convey is haha

Fenix

I very much enjoy you saying it's your cup of tea, when you immediately understood the point of the story being told. You hit the nail on the head with extremely minimal context. Vikings are fucking cool, they are also brutal and flawed. Especially when in relation to slavery, land, and power struggles.

Chandler Smith

This is my first watch of this show, really enjoyed the first ep. it's been hard for me to watch anything after AOT but i liked this. ready to see where it goes

Tyler Owens

This is the greatest show I’ve ever seen.
