I may be leaving Patreon (Patreon)

I was seriously thinking about shutting down JCTekkSims completely. I have explained that my income comes from my cc creations, and I have only a 2 week early access for cc and 30 day for builds, but someone that is subscribed to me scrapes my posts for a site that shares content for paywallers. I literally don't make enough to even live off as I am disabled due to really bad health. And now I've lost nearly all of that income due to this person.

I understand the frustration with paywallers, but I am not one of them. Almost everything I have on here is free. I am now looking into different ways to post my paid content, Patreon offers no support to creators (in almost any way), so as soon as I figure that out, I will let you all know. Until then, I will resume posting here.

I completely understand your frustration. It's not fair to people like you who follow the rules. Whatever you decide, it's completely up to you, but I hope that either way you continue to make CC even if it's just once in a blue moon for fun. <3

While it would disappoint me, since I just found you, I don’t blame you at all. Would it be possible to migrate to another site to stop this? Maybe something to where you would get the full subscription fee? I also think that you should increase the price of your tiers. You deserve more for the work that you do.

Hi. I'm so sorry for hearing this my dear friend. Please don't give up. I have found my stuff on Kemono as well and other places too. Please don't stop creating. You are so creative and there's not that much CC creators that do what you do at this moment. Why don't you do course online to teach people how to create CC? Some creators do that, just please don't give up.

I am not surprised that you are like this, I also think like you and I am in the same situation as you, there are people who do not empathize at all with the creators and translators, I also do not understand if they are paid to do that, I wish there was a site with more security.

I feel your frustration and don't blame you for wanting to quit, but I really hope you don't. As much as what's happening to you sucks, it can't be easily avoided. It takes time to build up a fan base and while some will steal, your name is spreading. You are becoming more and more popular. Good people will support you and if that brings you joy and a little $, then you win!

I’m truly sorry you have to deal with people like that. I really hope you don’t consider quitting because, even though I’m new to CC, I absolutely adore your work! Your creations bring so much joy, and if you ever leave, I know I’ll miss them dearly. You truly deserve so much better, and I believe in your talent. Keep shining!

I really don't want to do tutorials on it, I am OCD and making videos is not something I would want to do. I thought that I wasn't very popular due to the fact I don't do any mod work, and I may never. Someday I want a team with someone that can make my creations functional. That would be awesome! I usually spend 8-10hrs a day in blender working on meshes.

I agree! Patreon is horrible for creators. There are so many issues within the app and the website its ridiculous. I absolutely love your work btw! I wish I was able to do what you do then I'd be able to make my cc functional!

You are absolutely doing enough and not getting enough for it. Maybe add a $10 tier for exclusive requests? I saw that the average is $12, so it’s still reasonable. You could also do a zip file with all of the restaurant or other CC that is locked behind the $10 tier. I’ve seen other creators do that with success. They just update the file. Even if people pop in and only pay for a month at a time, it’s still extra revenue for you.

horrible how people can be .. Im sorry your feeling this way thats not fair to you who literally puts your time and effort into everything you create... do you know who it is? honestly I hope KARMA hits them hard... that's ignorance. This isnt a easy job ... the fact you dont get much sucks because all the time and dedication . I hope things turn around for you.... people like that is why creators lose their drive to want to continue and thats not fair for the creator.

Hey JC! I hope you decide not to quit. People like that suck to deal with for sure. There are some really low life people out there and I’m sorry you have to deal with them. Your cc has made my game come alive in ways I never thought it could, and with this being part of your livelihood what about posting videos of you creating your amazing cc on YouTube? I found your cc through seeing someone else use it in their gameplay, so I imagine if you put it out there you’ll get more followers and another source of income ☺️ just a thought. I hope you stick around!

Once I have a team together I'll have someone do some videos of my work, but I'm not good at teaching what I create at all. I've never been a fan of me going on video lol 😂

You can always just do voiceovers ☺️ I wouldn’t be comfortable being on video either and lots of YouTubers do voiceover only videos and they’re just as good! If you’re not comfortable with editing there’s platforms out there where you can commission someone to edit your videos. Do what you’re comfortable with so that it’s enjoyable for you 😊

I really enjoy your content and appreciate the effort you put into it! But I can't help but feel like something isn't adding up. You've mentioned struggling financially, and I totally get that times are tough. However, have you considered exploring additional income sources? Relying solely on Patreon seems really stressful, especially when essentials like rent, electricity, and internet all add up. Maybe looking into disability benefits or other financial assistance could help take some of that pressure off. Also, I know you’re trying to protect your work, but unfortunately, once links are out there, they tend to spread—especially on platforms like Telegram. It’s frustrating, but it seems like a battle most creators can't win. That’s why I think it might help to focus on a more sustainable plan for the long run instead of putting all your energy into fighting something that's hard to control. I understand feeling stuck and frustrated, but if this isn’t working out the way you need it to, what’s the next step? There are plenty of other online opportunities beyond Patreon, and if you’re not sure where to start, that’s something worth looking into. At the end of the day, you deserve financial stability, and I really hope you find a path that works for you!

I'm reading this late I'm so sorry, please stay strong we value as a community if you want to increase your prices i stand behind you, I'm pretty sure we all will and try to accept members based on approval by you I don't know if it's a thing, so you can monitor who sees your creations because your work is amazing.

yeah i totally understand but dont leave maybe you can redirect us to your own personal page to verify membership or that may be alot lol or you can keep patreon and do password downloads i know other creators do that ,so that way you can keep track of who is downloading your cc.
