More cartoonish style or somewhat realistic style?🤔

It is less a question of style than a question of purpose (and the possibilities that arise). I don't know whether the cartoon style allows for the realisation of more complex scenes with AI than the more realistic style, as the latter requires more computing power per image. It is therefore possible that, above a certain level of complexity, the more realistic style would become impractical. The next question is what you want. Exaggeration is possible in both styles, but it looks more harmonious in the cartoon style, which may have to do with the nature of cartoons to tend towards exaggeration. In addition, extreme shading and highlights, especially with contouring like here, which is based on Western comics, could be used to achieve a super-realistic effect in the cartoon style. I'll just call it ‘heroisation’; examples would be Marvel comics or Superman. It can be very well suited to depicting firefighters, for example. Purely visually, the more realistic style is more appealing, but it becomes just one image among many if you don't ‘pull other levers’ to achieve an extraordinary setting. In this example, the setting is irrelevant, which is why I think the more realistic style is superior. Nevertheless ... you see the image, think it's ‘nice’, move on to other things without lingering and immediately forget the image. I think that the probability of creating an image that is ‘memorable’ is currently higher with the cartoon-like style, provided it is optimised, due to the limitations in the creation of AI graphics. However, this could change quickly with further development of AI. But if you want to go in a more romantic and boyish direction, the more realistic style seems to be more suitable. This brings us back to the question of what you want. The style is a means of realising your ideas in the best possible way, not something that should limit your ideas. In my opinion, the current limitations of AI are more than sufficient here. For ‘dark’ themes, for example, a cyberpunk style would be worth considering.
