Zoro doesn’t need to know what kind of sword it is. The Wado is the last thing he would give away. It means too much to him. It’s not about it being a rare or strong sword.

I still find it funny that Ipponmatsu completely changed his attitude after zoro proved himself worthy of the sandai kitetsu.
