Regarding the worry you expressed about not liking Part 2 as much as Part 1 due to how much you enjoyed it, I just want to say - Jojo is like pizza. Even when it's bad, it's still pretty damn good. And I would honestly say "bad" only ever applies to specific fights and not whole parts.

Joseph does tell Straits to apologize to Speedwagon in Hell, so I think he clearly loves him dearly but does expect him to be in Hell

There's gonna be a point where people will want you to react more to the openers and closing credit songs. After part 2, the songs start changing in both major and many minors ways throughout their respective seasons. These changes reflect the narrative of the current arch within each season/part
