I've made it so that some of my plants, particularly the more climate-sensitive plants, will revert back to dirt piles if you try to grow them in a climate that doesn't suit them. I like it because it makes it a little more realistic. I always thought it was weird that you could grow things like plantains in a world with almost no rain or lots of snow.

Would you all like this to stay the way that it is, or (if possible) would you rather it be something that can be optional?

I like the option to switch it on and off

Yesssss thank you for doing this!!! I’ve been hoping for this feature for awhile 😊 Brings more specificity to the climates of each world

Lumyria

I like the option to turn it off and on. That would adhere to every ones play style rather than one one side.

Yes, I was leaning more toward doing it for that same reason but I didn't want to bother if there weren't enough people who wanted it. This poll will also help me decide what the default state of the plant will be :)

I prefer the option to switch it on and off. The EA dirt pile issue unfortunately makes it hard to tell whether a particular plant reverting to dirt is intended behavior meant to enhance the challenge or whether it's ... the EA dirt pile issue. :\ (I know the dev team claims to have fixed it, but honestly I'm not sure they actually did.) It would also be nice to be able to turn off the feature if it doesn't make sense for the plant to be reverting to dirt (e.g., if it's being grown in a greenhouse). But of course, whatever you decide will be perfect!

Would it affect if we planted in a greenhouse? Like the climate is not beneficial so my sim has a greenhouse to circumvent that

BrazenLotus

I will make sure it doesn't affect plants that are inside :)

I also agree that having the option to turn it on and off will satisfy most players in the long run, but maybe it can be done in such a way that the default is on and it then requires us to turn it off. Same for the garden effects, if possible, since I suspect we will mostly have them on, with few exceptions, so it would be easier. Thank you so much, please never stop modding and spoiling us with your talent!
