I can never get over this: Lane has a flight at 10 pm, and it's currently 8 pm at the party. There is no way she could catch that flight, unless it took off from her backyard.

This ep was filmed pre-9/11, TSA didn't exist and you'd typically only need to get to the airport a few minutes before takeoff, even for international flights. So it would just depend how long of a drive it is to the airport from Stars Hollow

Even pre 9/11, which I'm very aware of, as I travelled a lot over the years, "a few minutes before takeoff for international flights" has truly never been a thing. :) In fact, once I arrived 45 minutes before takeoff for an international flight and wasn't allowed to board the plane. Then the flight was significantly delayed, and we did a lot of talking with security, before we were allowed to board.
