this was the most upsetting character write off I've ever seen. but it also made me ball my eyes out because I can't handle this show without Alex. But I'm committed so I'll watch till the curtain calls. but this one.... ugh this one

Pretty sure this is the lowest ranked Grey’s episode. The actor left the show for personal reasons mid season. There is no way Alex would have left his wife and Mer for Izzie who is still clearly selfish since she had his kids and didn’t tell him. You can tell this was a last minute decision and they only planned this like 1 episode before. Either way worst writing ever!

I never understood why people act like izzie needed to tell him. He gave permission to use the eggs without any stipulation of being in the babies life. He knew she was going to have his kids. She didnt do anything wrong. While his exit wasnt written the best they were setting up some of this. Alex didnt have to leave jo to be a father he chose to.
