Talk about buried trauma! Poor Reid! And his mom can't help him because with her disease, she can't tell the difference between reality and fantasy half the time. I do love seeing Jane Lynch (who normally plays pretty powerful women) playing a character that gives her so much range for her amazing acting skills.
