Every time I watch this episode I always feel bad for Charlie, and I think your sentence for him is pretty fair. Going off of what happened in the flashback he didn’t seem to actually intend to go and kill the guy, just confront him for sleeping with his wife. The guy provoked him into a fight then grabbed a gun, at which point for me I’d call it self defence. I’d maybe push it to manslaughter for trying to cover it up by burying the guy in a shallow grave. I think your 10 year sentence with possibility for less is very fair :)
