Chapter 7: A Sip and One Can Grasp the Dao?

Hearing this, Leng Yanran grew more serious. Cultivation was not something to be taken lightly.

"Disciple has many doubts and humbly asks for Master’s guidance."

Leng Yanran then shared every confusion she had encountered while cultivating the "Chaos Celestial Demon Art."

Meanwhile, Chen Daoxuan listened while reaching toward the Primordial Spirit Enlightenment Tea Tree nearby.

The tree, showing a hint of spiritual awareness, extended one of its branches toward him.

Chen Daoxuan was a bit surprised at this—it was unexpected that the tea tree would be so sentient.

He picked some leaves from the tree, and after gently stroking its branch, the tree swayed a bit, almost as if it were a pet pleased by its owner’s affection.

Leng Yanran continued explaining her difficulties until her master’s next move left her momentarily speechless.

With a casual wave of his hand, Chen Daoxuan conjured a small pavilion next to the Primordial Spirit Enlightenment Tea Tree. Inside it was a table, chairs, and even a set of fine tea utensils.

Sitting down naturally, he beckoned to the stunned Leng Yanran, signaling her to come over.

Recovering herself, Leng Yanran quickly stepped forward, moving her elegantly shaped legs, and leaned forward to listen to her master’s teachings.

She was now even more uncertain about her master’s true strength. Was such a miraculous act of conjuring possible for any mere mortal cultivator?

Could her master have already ascended to immortality?

"There’s no need to be so formal. Sit down; we can discuss while enjoying tea."

Seeing his disciple’s posture, Chen Daoxuan couldn’t help but let out a light laugh.

Shouldn’t there be closeness and affection between master and disciple?

Being this stiff would only make things inconvenient in the future! Where would be the decorum in that?

"Yes, Master!"

Leng Yanran complied and sat respectfully across from him, sitting upright like a young student.

Yet she felt a warmth in her heart. Not only was her master unfathomably powerful, but he was also approachable!

"You… forget it. You’ll get used to it over time."

"Go on, continue."

Seeing her reserved demeanor, Chen Daoxuan sighed but knew that it wasn’t something that would change overnight, so he decided to let things flow naturally.

As Leng Yanran continued expressing her doubts about cultivation, Chen Daoxuan initially intended to brew the tea himself.

But Leng Yanran, being considerate, took the tea leaves and began brewing.

He relaxed with satisfaction—having a disciple to serve him was much better than doing it himself. Indeed, being a master had its comforts!

The moment she held the Primordial Spirit Enlightenment Tea, Leng Yanran felt a coolness throughout her entire body, a miraculous sensation. However, considering the many wonders she’d seen with her master, she didn’t dwell on it.

When her questions were finished, the tea was also ready.

"Good, well done. Watch closely, and I’ll demonstrate once."

Chen Daoxuan noted that her struggles were mainly due to minor blockages in the circulation of meridians. He thought a demonstration would be more effective than mere explanation.

Before, he wouldn’t have been able to teach it.

But after Leng Yanran had comprehended the first volume of the "Chaos Celestial Demon Art," he had received a perfect mastery reward for it. To him, these issues were now trivial!

Leng Yanran paused, slightly stunned.

Having cultivated the "Chaos Celestial Demon Art" herself, she knew it imposed many limitations. At the very least, it seemed crafted specifically for her; typically, only demons could cultivate it, especially those with an innate allure.

Could her master have mastered this technique as well?

Then again, with a master so deep and mysterious, nothing seemed impossible!

She brushed aside her distracting thoughts, focusing intently on her master as he began demonstrating the technique.

After Chen Daoxuan completed one full circulation of the first volume of the Chaos Celestial Demon Art, Leng Yanran felt as if a cool clarity washed over her. All her previous doubts dissolved instantly!

Though a few minor issues remained, she was confident they would resolve with a bit more practice!

"Disciple thanks Master for teaching me the technique!"

With that, she stood up and respectfully bowed to her master.

"Did you understand it?"

"Is there anything you still don’t comprehend?"

Chen Daoxuan gently waved his hand, indicating that she should sit down, showing his concern about whether her cultivation issues were fully resolved.

After all, he was counting on his disciple to advance quickly so that he could earn further rewards. It was crucial that her cultivation went smoothly without any setbacks!

"After watching Master’s demonstration, I’ve resolved about 80% of my issues. For the remaining 20%, I believe that with a bit more study, I should be able to work them out as well."

Upon hearing her master’s inquiry, she quickly responded.

"I see…"

"The tea’s ready—pour yourself a cup too."

Chen Daoxuan murmured, glancing at the tea that had already been steeped.

Caught up in demonstrating the technique earlier, he hadn’t had a chance to taste it yet.

Thinking of the tea’s effects, his eyes brightened.

"Forgive me, Master—I was so focused on watching that I forgot to serve tea. Please, feel free to punish me!"

However, as soon as he spoke, Leng Yanran felt she had failed in her duty and immediately dropped to one knee.

"I didn’t mean it like that—it’s just a simple request. No need to overinterpret…"

"Pour a cup for yourself as well."

Chen Daoxuan couldn’t help but chuckle slightly.

Did he not come across as kind enough? Why did she seem so intimidated?

"Yes, Master!"

"Forgive your disciple’s narrow-mindedness!"

Leng Yanran finally let out a sigh of relief, standing up and respectfully pouring tea for her master before serving herself a cup as well.

Her cautious nature wasn’t surprising; with her innate allure, she had managed to keep herself safe thus far by being careful. Otherwise, she would have been seized by some powerful cultivator long ago!

"Good. From now on, you can take over the tea-making."

Chen Daoxuan sipped his tea, quietly praising her skill.

"To prepare tea for Master is this disciple’s blessing."

Beaming at her master’s praise, Leng Yanran picked up her own cup and took a small sip, under his watchful gaze.

But as the tea slipped down her throat and into her belly, her eyes widened suddenly!

She quickly closed her eyes and began to regulate her breathing, slipping directly into a Dao-enlightening state!

About the time it took for an incense stick to burn passed before she slowly opened her eyes again.

"This tea… it can induce enlightenment?"

Upon returning to awareness, Leng Yanran looked in awe at the cup in front of her, her mouth slightly open in disbelief.

Every cultivator dreamed of entering an enlightened state—a rare and precious opportunity.

Though she was known as the most talented in the Kingdom of Mara, she had never before achieved such a state of enlightenment!

This tea was practically a priceless treasure!

"Of course. This is Primordial Spirit Enlightenment Tea; it naturally aids in achieving enlightenment."

"Did it help clear up the remaining 20% of your questions?"

Noticing the adorable look of surprise on her face, Chen Daoxuan took another sip from his cup and, with a light laugh, asked her.
