Chapter 95: The Strange Gift!

Mystic Spirit Mountain Training Arena.

It was lunchtime, and the disciples were resting in the Training Arena after finishing their meals.

A group of them had surrounded Lu Xinran, eagerly listening to her speak with great enthusiasm.

"That was the - Ten Thousand Mountains, a place filled with terrifying monsters, one of the most dangerous areas in the entire martial world! Every year during the sect’s training, there are always casualties."

"But because the Holy Son led us this time, we not only completed the mission in record time but also achieved the miracle of having no losses!"

...

"I remember it was a giant bear demon over ten meters tall, roaring as it charged at us. We were terrified at the time..."

"But then, with a ‘bang,’ the Holy Son quickly split that bear demon in half with a single shot..."

Lu Xinran spoke animatedly, using gestures to illustrate her story, her saliva flying as she talked.

The disciples, who hadn't participated in the training, listened with great interest.

In the end, she even mimicked Li Ran’s tone, saying:

"The path of immortality is harsh, and the great Dao is hard to seek!"

"We must push forward with courage and vigor to achieve immortality!"

"Talent is crucial in cultivation, but more important than talent is the unyielding belief to never back down!"

Her passionate words left the disciples feeling excited and full of fervor.

One disciple raised his hand and asked, "Senior Sister Lu, when do you think the Holy Son will return?"

"Yeah, we really want to see him."

"I heard the Holy Son is really handsome."

The group of disciples looked hopeful, already idolizing Li Ran.

Lu Xinran sighed, "It’s not just you guys; I want to know too… I miss the Holy Son so much~"

At that moment, a commotion erupted not far away, and an excited voice called out, "It’s the Holy Son! The Holy Son has returned!"

"What?!"

Lu Xinran suddenly looked up, her eyes filled with excitement.

A luxurious dragon chariot descended from the sky, pulled by six majestic horses, accompanied by the melodious sounds of phoenix and luan calls, slowly landing in the Training Arena.

Li Ran pushed open the golden doors, stretched lazily, and said, "We arrived so fast? Traveling with this magical treasure is even more comfortable than first class!"

"Holy Son!"

With a familiar shout, a petite figure leapt forward.

Lu Xinran dashed into Li Ran’s arms, rubbing her pink cheeks against his neck.

"Holy Son, you’re finally back. I missed you so much~"

"…"

Li Ran’s brow twitched, and he grabbed her by the collar, tossing her aside.

The group of new disciples gazed at him, their eyes sparkling with admiration.

This was the Holy Son?

So handsome!

Even more dashing than the legends said!

...

Wow!

A crowd of young disciples surged forward, gathering in front of Li Ran.

They were not very advanced in their cultivation, but each had determined eyes, starkly different from the newer disciples.

These were the ones who had accompanied Li Ran to train in Ten Thousand Mountains.

After returning from that training, a third of them had broken through to a new minor realm, with half of them being accepted into the inner sect.

The high success rate even astonished the elders.

"Greetings, Holy Son!"

They all knelt on one knee in unison, their voices loud and clear, piercing the sky.

Li Ran’s gaze swept across their faces; they stood tall with chests puffed, their eyes filled with fervor and admiration.

"Keep training well," he said calmly.

"Yes, sir!"

The disciples responded loudly.

...

Yi Qinglan stood in the clouds, silently watching this scene.

"So, this is Li Ran? A truly excellent talent, but what a pity he joined a Demonic Sect."

"People of the Demonic Sect are usually rebellious, but they seem to trust him deeply. He must have some extraordinary qualities."

"But no matter what, he shouldn’t have harmed Langyue’s Dao heart!"

A flash of anger crossed Yi Qinglan's eyes, and the sky suddenly darkened with swirling winds and clouds!

But then, remembering her conversation with Leng Wuyan, she shook her head and sighed softly.

"That crazy woman... oh well, let the young ones sort out their own matters."

She gave Li Ran a serious look, then vanished into a streak of light.

Li Ran sensed something and looked up, but the sky was bright, with no signs of anything unusual.

"Must have been my imagination."

Under the watchful eyes of all the disciples, he left slowly with his hands behind his back.

...

On the way back to his residence, Ah Qin was already waiting outside the door.

Seeing Li Ran, her eyes lit up with joy.

"Master, you’re back."

Ah Qin wanted to step forward but hesitated, standing awkwardly in place. In her heart, she still saw herself as just a servant.

Even though she had been intimate with the Holy Son, she still felt unworthy and lacked the courage to be close to him.

Li Ran didn’t think much of it, reaching out to ruffle her hair before pulling her into his arms and kissing her forehead. "Mm, I’m back..."

He then pushed open the door and went inside.

Watching his back, Ah Qin’s tense body relaxed, her face beaming with joy.

"It’s so good to have you back..."

Inside the bedroom, Ah Qin poured him some tea, standing obediently by his side.

As Li Ran drank, something suddenly came to mind.

"By the way, I brought you a little gift."

"A gift?"

Ah Qin was stunned.

The concept of receiving a gift was foreign to her.

Li Ran waved his hand, and a pile of clothes dropped onto the bed.

They were all bought from the best clothing shop in the imperial capital, made with the finest materials and craftsmanship.

"You’ve been wearing the same outfit for a while, and I’m tired of looking at it. I bought a bunch, so pick whatever you like." Li Ran said casually.

Ah Qin was still dressed in servant’s clothing, dull in color and made of coarse fabric.

During his recent trip home, Li Ran had made sure to buy her something nicer.

Ah Qin stared at him, tears welling up in her eyes.

Li Ran frowned, "What, you don’t like them?"

Ah Qin quickly wiped her tears and shook her head vigorously. "No, I love them. I’m just so happy... This is the first time I’ve ever received a gift, and it’s from the Holy Son himself..."

Li Ran chuckled, "It’s just a few clothes. Stop getting so emotional and try them on."

"Okay."

Ah Qin nodded.

She walked over to the bed, looking at the array of clothes, unsure of where to start.

She eventually picked up a random item.

"Hmm? Holy Son, what is this..."

Li Ran turned around to see her holding a pink dudou, looking a bit confused.

The dudou was almost entirely see-through, with minimal fabric and a faint fragrance that made it rather suggestive.

Cough, cough!

Li Ran nearly choked on his tea.

These clothes were purchased by someone on his behalf, as that person had a similar figure to Ah Qin.

But who would’ve thought they’d buy something like this?

"This was... an accident..."

Before he could finish, he was stunned.

Ah Qin had already taken off her old clothes and put on the dudou, revealing her slender arms and delicate collarbones.

Her cheeks were flushed, and she nervously asked, "H-Holy Son, is this right?"

Li Ran: "…"
