Chapter 15: Elementary School Students' Enchanted Equipment
Isn't the situation a bit troublesome now?
During the class, Chen An had been pondering this very important question.
"The situation is indeed quite troublesome."
The system couldn't help muttering, "Your body hasn't fully developed yet. Even if you exercise regularly and have physical endurance comparable to those sixth graders who are at the top of elementary school, the three-grade difference can't be simply overcome through training. At best, you might be able to hold your own in a one-on-one situation, but they might come as a small group to block the school gate."
"Um, the trouble I mentioned isn't about them."
Chen An neither confirmed nor denied it. "Even if a group of elementary school kids are bundled together, they're still just a bunch of elementary school kids. I'm not afraid of a hundred of them. What concerns me is those elementary school students who might seek revenge."
"Lu Li?"
The system looked at Lu Li's empty seat next to Chen An and nodded thoughtfully. "That's right, her level of terror is definitely beyond that of an ordinary elementary school student. I bet this attempt to block the school gate might be related to her."
Chen An tapped his desk with his fingers, his gaze fixed on the class monitor who was writing notes on the chalkboard, standing on a stool to reach it. However, his focus wasn't on the lesson; instead, his thoughts drifted to Lu Li, who had disappeared somewhere.
While he was facing the possibility of being blocked at the school gate, she seemed to have vanished. Clearly, there were factors that made her not want him around. She was probably installing new explosives somewhere, preparing to blow up the other cram schools.
Would a new victim emerge soon?
He couldn't help but recall the insurance company heiress who had cried her heart out in front of the Hua Long Cram School. With determination, he decided that he had to take on the responsibility of an adult and find a way to resolve this absurd situation. To do that, he needed to deal with the group of sixth graders blocking the school gate first...
"Should we report this to the teacher or school authorities?"
The system suggested, "Utilize the power of adults to counter those sixth graders!"
"Do you think that if I explain the situation, the teacher will immediately roll up their sleeves and help me drive away those sixth graders without a second thought?"
Chen An looked at the system askance.
"Isn't that the case? It's only natural for a teacher to stand up for their student."
The system questioned, puzzled.
"I don't deny that there are such teachers, but unfortunately, the teachers I know aren't like that. She would ask me to explain the situation in detail, inquire whether I've reflected on my actions, and then throw in some official jargon like 'it takes two to tango.'"
Chen An pursed his lips. "Teachers are also adults, and being an adult means having various qualities, good or bad, or complicated. I'd rather settle this with the simplest method and prove myself against them."
"Without relying on adults, how do you plan to handle it?"
"Use this bottle of iced tea. I'll smash those naughty kids with it and show them who's boss."
Chen An looked at the iced tea he had freeloaded from the Fatso kid, his brain working quickly as he started modifying it. He picked up an empty Pepsi bottle from his desk, tore off the Pepsi label, and affixed it to his iced tea.
Hmm, next, all he needed to do was throw this bottle of iced tea at the group of elementary school students, causing terrifying damage.
"This thing can only harm the Coca-Cola faction. How do you know those kids are in the Coca-Cola faction?"
"The Coca-Cola faction won't be breached by this level of attack. This label has another purpose."
Chen An concealed his newly crafted "weapon" and then picked up a pen to copy the questions on the chalkboard, which the class monitor had written. After all, he had to weigh the importance of different matters. If he kept pondering about Lu Li's situation, the class monitor would soon wipe off the notes from the board.
Fatso and Skinny couldn't help but watch Chen An as he faced the prospect of confronting the sixth graders all by himself. As his playmates, they couldn't easily let their friend handle this alone, but as third graders, standing up for Chen An also made them a bit apprehensive. They waited uneasily, glancing at him, until the final bell of the last class rang, signaling the end of the school day.
As the bell rang, Chen An took action. He confidently walked toward the school gate. In the distance, he saw six sixth graders wearing uniforms from Nanfang Elementary School standing on the opposite side of the gate, staring intently at every student coming out.
Casually, he turned a corner, still within the gaze of Fatso and Skinny, and entered the restroom for first graders. Not long after, he emerged, holding a plastic broom with stiff bristles.
Fatso and Skinny were familiar with those brooms. They were the nightmare of all the students on cleaning duty. Every student assigned to clean the school had to hold their nose while using those stiff-bristled brooms to clean the dirtiest areas of the school.
Could that guy be planning to fight with that broom? True, he had a weapon that could significantly enhance his combat power, but the opponents were six sixth graders, rebellious students who might smoke.
Under the watchful eyes of Fatso and Skinny, Chen An bypassed the security office at the entrance and brazenly walked out of the school with the broom. He confidently approached the group of sixth graders who were flexing their fingers, making crackling sounds with their knuckles.
"You're Chen An, right?"
The sixth grader put down his handheld game console and grinned at the slightly shorter elementary school student in front of him. "Kid, come over here. We've got something to discuss with you."
"I'm in a hurry to find someone, so..."
Chen An revealed his broom and took out his secret concoction of a drink, addressing the sixth graders before him calmly, "You guys can come at me together. I'm running out of time."
"Hold on, what are you holding in your hand?"
The sixth grader instinctively covered his nose, eyeing the broom in Chen An's hand, which seemed quite familiar. "Isn't that something unique to restrooms?"
"No, you're mistaken. This is a low-level whiteboard equipment with an attack power of 0 to 5."
Chen An explained earnestly, "And there's a bottle of Pepsi."
"You're lying! Pepsi isn't yellow-orange, and it doesn't emit steam! What did you bring out from the restroom?!"
The sixth grader's face couldn't hide his unease as he looked at Chen An. His heart raced uncontrollably.
"In any case, this is a bottle of mysterious liquid with a strange smell. Next..."
Chen An poured the iced tea onto the bristles of the broom.
"This is called enchantment."
The six sixth graders stared pale-faced at the broom with the unfamiliar liquid on the bristles and began to step back involuntarily.
"Lastly, this is an enchantment equipment with an attack power of 0 to 1 and an additional 100 points of mental damage."
Chen An swung the broom and grinned menacingly at the young troublemakers before him.
"You're in deep trouble. I want you to spend the next semester being ridiculed by other kids! Who's going to start the fight!"
